On the other hand, many officially “finished” games are are barely playable, let alone polished.
I’m about to stab my eyes with forks just for reading it. After I pour bleach in my eyes for having read the above transcript, of course.
Thank you for the great reply! I’ll give it a shot tonight.
I’m also on the fence about this game. I’ve heard some very mixed reviews regarding gameplay and replayability. I’m not sure at this point if different classes have different quest/story arcs (such as SWTOR).
Damn... you’d think that they’d still try to give it a bit of spit & polish to make it look more tempting. That’s pretty lackluster even by 2011 standards.
Didn’t this game just get released? Those graphics... I haven’t seen texture mapping that bad in an MMO in a long time. Was this just a localization of the existing MMO? They didn’t do any new engine work?
How about not linking these articles in other articles after the sale is passed?

Mad Max: Fury Road was a very fun movie and I enjoyed it a lot. Once.
I don’t think that would be a viable system for me. Last time I played was around Mists. I’m pretty sure I have one level 90ish character but with whatever random drops you get from quests. I only get to play MMOs about 5 to 10 hours a week and that’s if I’m lucky.
Is gold pretty easy to get now?
You can subscribe to the game with in-game gold now? I can’t even wrap my head around that. I thought WoW was still doing fairly well for a subscription-based MMO.
I’d avoid Fallout 4 until all the DLC is out and it’s down to $20. It’s definitely not worth $50+ by itself as it has virtually no replay value compared to previous Bethesda games.

Cops like this are nothing more than weak, criminal scum. If he’s a captain now then I guarantee his entire department is uneducated, corrupt, and violent. He should be stripped of his badge and never allowed to work in law enforcement of any related fields and never allowed to own a gun. He should also be sent to…
I’m hard pressed to think of more than handful that use 100k models and mostly they are racing games where that poly count is beneficial to collision and deformation modeling. In general such high poly count is wasteful, especially for any game where there will be multiple characters on screen in a detailed…
We’re all a certain kind of arsehole to someone.
The concept art and designs for the Prequels was absolutely amazing. As an artist it was a shame to see that so many talented artists, designers and visual effects people had their efforts squandered on such a weak story.
I’m hazarding a guess that that’s only for the prerendered cinematics, not the gameplay models, but I’m not sure. In my experience most modern games don’t use over 30k polys for gameplay models and many don’t go over about 10k to 15k.
So, yet another ignorant person randomly blames Bill Gates for something he has absolutely nothing to do with.
Some people keep parroting the line, “if all the Warcraft fans go to see it then it will be successful,” but that logic doesn’t really hold up. The numbers aren’t really there to recoup the production/distribution budget.
