Not for nothing, but that sort of grooming is important for many reasons. On a purely mental level it can help a person to feel more in control of themselves and less out of touch with their humanity and sense of self-identity.

There have been nude mods for virtually every PC game ever made. People were making nude mods for the first sims game. Before that (18 years ago!) people were making nude patches for Lara Croft. Now we have nude patches for every games, even MMOs (City of Heroes and WoW being the biggest examples).

I can't even begin to count how many times I was in very early betas for MMOs and heard people constantly bitching and moaning in broadcast chat that the game is fundamentally broken and they won't be buying it.

Piffle?! Balderdash!

One day I decided that I wanted to do professional model photography, so I just jumped right into it with no prior experience and did it.

Really? That's not asking who's there, then, is it? Seems like you also wouldn't be too likely to give them a chance to tell you what they wanted.

A resume is the equivalent to knocking on the door. Knock too long, and too loud, and they won't even ask who's there.

Excellent article. In a similar vein, as a creative professional another thing I learned is to try your damnedest to refrain from engaging in debates against critics (especially those who are unnecessarily harsh) in any type of public forums.

Same here.

The PayPal link didn't do anything for me. It just brought me to a page explaining the new layout of my account and where to read the FAQs. *shrug*

Thanks again, that's very good to know. My only doubts are regarding proprietary Dell hardware on the motherboard. Nevertheless, I may just give it a try and see how it goes. I'd definitely like to go 64bit and increase the RAM, as well as install an SSD eventually.

Great article. I love blue LEDs on everything. I don't care for a lot of the extremely convoluted gamer cases but I do love a nice shiny black case (like a monolithic slab) with subtle silver trim and blue LED lighting that'll provide almost enough light to read by. When I shut off the light in my office I love the

I'm definitely going to consider it now. Thank you for your input. It's refreshing to get helpful feedback in any comment section.

That's true in some cases but it's more a matter of being aware of important distinctions. In Florida, for example, if you're renting a trailer it's important to find out up front if it's considered "rental property" or "motel property." Most are motel properties and will have names like "resort" or "park." They do

Good thinking! It does have an eSATA port so that could work. At this point I'm just not sure if it's a case of throwing good money after bad. On the other hand the hardware would be useful in the event that I ever upgrade to a better system.

It's an old DELL XPS with a Core 2 Duo running Vista Home Basic. There's room for two drives but there are only two SATA ports and the DVD uses one of them and there is no IDE port at all. So, I could add an SSD but I'd have to sacrifice my optical drive, which I use a lot.

I really want an SSD for my desktop PC, mostly for geeky tech reasons, but it's highly doubtful that it would improve my system performance enough to make up for the tradeoff reducing storage space by 50% or more.

It does, but viewed on the NYT page it looks far more accurate with the exception of being a bit oversaturated and too much magenta in the clouds. It seems like a bit more realistic portrayal of the scene (compared to the other) but not necessarily an idealized version that most people would like.

I really like Twitter (except sometimes, because reasons) but more specifically I like it with Tweetdeck. Without Tweetdeck I would rarely, if ever, use Twitter. That's how bad I feel Twitter's web page and app are without the necessary options and features. I find the desktop Tweetdeck app to be faster and more

Your need/desire to sleep does not trump the parents' need/desire to bring the baby on any given flight. You are not guaranteed a peaceful trip to slumberland on any particular flight.
