You know, it’s basically true that companies have to kiss China’s ass to do business there. But the reverse is also true; China has been mor open to allowing foreign things in. And there’s only so much they can ban before they’re back to everything in their country is made by them.

Last Week Tonight, John Oliver did a great piece on China. As he pointed out, not even the U.N. mentions China’s human rights abuses; the minute someone does, China threatens to lock them out.

If the militia types that occupied federal land a while ago are any indication, they aren’t really up on guerilla tactics. More like making loud statements. Against police willing to wait them out to avoid bloodshed, that’s one thing.

I think they should adopt the same thing that determines when it ends, IE the point when someone is declared brain dead and can have plugs pulled with external consent.

There will always be new release customers. After all, if nobody buys it new, nobody has a copy to sell used. That means there are unlimited new copies available, but a limited number of used ones.

I could see Valve instituting something like an “online pass” like EA tried. You’re buying the program to make the game work. Buy the game “new” and you get the game, plus access to Steam services (friends lists, achievements, etc).

Personally, I think Twitch should only hit people with actual nudity and/or sex acts. Anything else? Maybe if you’re going to be in underwear you should have to flag your stream as mature. Otherwise, who cares?
