DOA5 is hands down the best non weapon fighter there is. Even with all the issues I still had a blast playing it with friends last night. And I didn't mind the DLC a bit, its all cosmetics. I bought all the packs.

For my group, they could extend the life of their game indefinately with one change: a Destiny version of Forge and custom games. Hell, even private matches for Crucible and larger fire teams in Patrols would help quite a lot.
