That’s being very unkind to the W8. I doubt that the W8 had 2/3rds of their motors replaced under warranty.

DANCE PUPPET, DANCE!

Ah yes, it’s well known that a TWO-THIRDS FAILURE RATE of the drive unit is a “fairly high level of reliability?”

I’m kind of in the same boat. I can bitch and moan all I want, but if we’re not getting the ID3 then we’re not getting it. If the ID4 drives smaller than it looks, and it has more range, but remains under 40k, then I will not hate myself for getting one.

It’s amazing how you can believe such a load of horseshit.

“You see, ze Americans will not buy ze Golf sized wehicles.”

Those same dumbshits are here. I just scrolled down and found some long apology about how it takes time, and we read too much into the tweets.

The sad thing is we can’t be certain if this is sarcasm or if you’re serious.

All of the range, none of the charging speed, quality, looks, quality, potential lower price, QUALITY.

Oh no. What ever will VW do with the sale they were never going to get from you in the first place?!?!

But it’s fun to step out of line and burst people’s bubbles.

Businesses exist to make a profit, what’s your point?

A dealership service department is VERY expensive to run. How do you think they make a profit? Are they supposed to sell you parts and cost and provide their labor for free?

Yeah, he's not running a business, that's my point! He can do it for a lot less. That's the "breaking news."

Owner did work themselves not factoring in their own labor costs, overhead, equipment costs, tools, and also did not sell parts to himself for a profit. Oh yeah, and no worker’s comp, insurance, or other things required to run a business does job for far less.

They could just offer loaners in Europe for you to use when you “pick up” your car before it’s shipped off.

“I’m sorry sir, Toyota doesn’t have a hydrogen car, you must be mistaken.”

When Porsche announced the Mission E I think they said it would be capable of 350 kW. I wonder what is keeping them from enabling it. But for now, 250ish is plenty for this car and others in the same size. 22 minutes to get from 5 to 80% is insane.

I would say the majority of CCS plugs out in here in CA are 50 kW, which sucks for the newer cars. But VW, sorry, Electrify America, is trying to expand rapidly with their network and I think they’re all 350 kW.

Where did you read you can only charge at Porsche dealers, because that’s absolutely not true. The Porsche uses the CCS port, and there are thousands, and thousands of CCS chargers across the country. They may not all be 350 kW chargers, but they’re expanding rapidly.
