I know what the adapter is and how to use it. Which means I also know that anyone can just unplug the car since the J1772 port isn’t locked to the car.

And the adapter is free with the car.
I never said the J1772 adapter was hard to use. But it’s utter bullshit that Tesla made their own standard and then won’t install any Level 2 chargers anywhere. They just created a program to put the burden on businesses, and even then, they’re only at hotels.
So you’re okay with Tesla making a proprietary port and then requiring everyone else to cater to that? When using an adapter anyone can walk up and unplug your car.
I think if you had a full EV with that commute you would benefit from solar. Did you hear Tesla is now renting out panels? But you have to own your home. I rent right now otherwise I’d get it.
So I just went to double check the rates with SCE and it turns out they got rid of the old EV plan where you could get reduced rates if you had a seperate meter for the charger. Now you’re stuck on a regular TOU plan. What a bunch of bullshit.
Yeah I got two and totally considered other cars...
What about a short term e-Golf lease? I think with the abundance of chargers you could take it anywhere you really need to.
I will stay on tiered pricing (SCE here) until I die, or the PUC makes me. Fuck the ToU pricing.
Ha, from those prices I know he’s with SCE. If you’re in an area of the state with PG&E you can not only expect prices to double, but you may not get power at all if there’s even a slight breeze.
Oh damn you only have a month left? Are you going to buy the Spark or get something else?
But what they paid wasn't the actual market value, it was an inflated value. But I'm sure now that the demand is so strong the price has shot up on them all.
Meh, I was okay getting a fat check and keeping my car.
I would not be surprised if a statistically significant number of buyers are people who took the buyback. Pretty much every TDI owner I’ve spoken to who took the buyback regrets that decision.
You also want to pop the hood and measure the amount of dressing pooled in the plastics. The shinier it is, and the more puddles, the better. That way when you drive off it will become a muddy mess very quickly.
Except we’re not talking about particulates, they’re only talking about NOx.
That’s exactly what they did. On the first gen TDIs they figured they would save something like $300 per car. The math worked in their favor to cheat even if they did get caught.
Perhaps you should do a little more research. AdBlue is not blue, it’s a clear fluid. The reasons the Germans used “blue” for their diesel products is because in Germany blue is equivalent to green here in the US.
This is actually incorrect. They received 45,000 registrations of INTEREST. Not actual orders.
