The Jaguar and Mercedes version of this joke is much funnier. Mainly because Mercedes they use kittens (they’re smaller), and Jaguar tried it with cats.

Re the Mercedes person. I feel bad that they’re going to a shop that either has no idea what they’re doing, or they like screwing their customers.

I only did it out of desperation as I was in an area with no fast chargers, vs the Tesla having access to a Supercharger. And I plugged them in when I was done. It’s not like I did it just because. As much as I dislike Teslas plugged in at J1772 stations, and even PHEVs, I don’t go around unplugging them just because.

I bring up Disneyland parking because it’s a good example of the charging costs far exceeding those of gas when you have a PHEV, and despite that people with PHEVs still clog up the spots so BEV drivers, like myself, get screwed nine times out of ten.

People have stopped parking and not charging here at Disneyland. But I would murder a Tesla driver who parked and didn’t plug in. I already want to murder Tesla drivers who use J1772 chargers since technically, they shouldn’t be. If I can’t use their supercharger then they can’t hog chargers meant for me. And I

Damn it, I wish more PHEV owners were like you. Here in LA all of the public chargers are clogged with PHEVs. And Disneyland is THE WORST! Unless I get into the parking structure within 30 minutes of it opening (so 6:30 AM), the chargers are filled with 75% of PHEVs. And I did the math and these owners are god damn

Hey now, Tesla has like one exclusive lounge in bum fuck Egypt somewhere on the five.

The other thing people are ignoring is how many miles you can add during a pit stop. I recently drove up to Paso Robles and I stopped twice on the way home, but both were pit stops. The first one was 100 miles from my starting point, which is the tail end of my range (2018 VW e-Golf). There was a DCFC right next to

Except Tesla chargers are almost always saturated with users, vs EVgo which sees very little use.

What car are you renting and what chargers are you using?

Because this is the internet I’m going to make wild assumptions based off very little information.

No, they aren’t. And at least in most parts of California energy costs are too high to make a PHEV worth it. You either need to live in a cheap area or have solar.

Uh max out and then some. On a rare car like that only appreciates in value, Morgan’s lawyers may have the driver on the hook for MILLIONS.

I’m pretty sure you’re one of the outliers. PHEV drivers all seem to plug in wherever there is a plug, no matter the cost. Shit, even when I went to Ikea, which uses Blink, the spots were full of PHEV, and they charge 49 cents a kWh. That’s like stopping at every single gas station just because it’s there. It makes

I did my estimates at 35 cents a kWh, because that’s what Disneyland charges (with a $1.50 minimum). And while I knew it would do nothing, I wanted to do math to see if I was right to be angry that every time I go all the charging spots are clogged with PHEVs.

It was a god damn joke.

That makes SO MUCH SENSE. I can’t believe you don’t get it...

From a purely cost benefit analysis of the customer, though, a PHEV would not be a good investment. I spent a few minutes the other day comparing what it costs per mile on gas at $4, and people paying to charge at public stations.

Until they build an EV with a manual transmission, can go 800 miles on a single charge, take 30 seconds to recharge, and cost $30,000 new, I won’t be buying an EV.

That’s where you and I disagree. I think most judges and many juries would find Tesla culpable when this shit is on their website right now.
