I’ve got an e-Golf and I can go 120 miles at 7-75 with the AC on the entire time. And I do that all the time.

Haha you’re going to quibble over 30 miles? I’m sure it has nothing to do with the $88,000 price tag.
BUT MAH RIGHTS!
I’m here for the comments. I love how people bitch about parking tickets as if it’s unfair you were too fucking stupid to pay attention when you parked.
Hold the logic buddy, this is Jalopnik, not Oppo.
Jesus christ how do you get through life being so offended by shit that actually does NOTHING to harn you? Holy shit. A repair tech even dial a number on your phone without you losing your shit.
Eating in someone else's car is a mortal sin and the person should be shot.
Actually no, that’s not how that works. Unless a job specifically requires us to track down a symptom that requires extensive driving, test drives are already built into the labor times for specific jobs.
Please elaborate, I’d love to know why it’s so terrible I ran in to get something.
I just don’t think you should do food runs in customer’s cars. Look at it from their perspective: They dropped off their car not smelling like grease. Sure, you need to test drive it, but they would argue you should be paying more attention to the verification of repair then where you’re going for lunch.
All the things you just mentioned can happen at the dealership.
I was typing quickly and did not take the time to proofread. Balls.
This is a common thing, but social media is here to save us all.
BUT THEY USED IT FOR THEIR OWN PERSONAL ERRAND!!!! YOU MUST BE OUTRAGED!
It’s amazing how Musk fanatics go quiet when you start poking multiple holes in their argument and you sink their battleship.
Oh wow that’s awesome. I’m sure they’re starting with the Bay area, though. All the chargers I use in the LA area are still 50kW, which is fine since my e-Golf is capped at around 40kW.
First off, as other people have pointed out, $1500 is a laughably low number. From the information you provided it sounds like this person is trying to find excuses to get into a new car. That in itself is fine, but let’s put aside their want for a minute and find out what they need.
No, I think all of EVgo’s network is currently capped out 50kW. But considering VW has come out with a network quickly at 350kW I’m EVgo will replace their stations with the new higher power ABB ones (VW and EVgo both use ABB stations).
Yes, you can easily plot your trip with EVgo or Chargepoint, I do it all the time as my e-Golf only has 125 miles of range.
