We bought the elgato mainly to stream PS3 (did a marathon Xilia stream) long before it was announced that PS4/XB1 will have streaming capabilities. It’s also great for retro consoles as it can read analog singnal unlike the newer version that can read digital input only.

Now playing

I had to think of this. Also good song btw.

I’m wondering, do Japanese companies have a different opinion on uploading videos on niconico? Are they also that strict or more open as its their home turf? I mean niconico is also full of things made by fans.

Did run into the same problem. Luckily we got ourselves an elgato capture card some time ago so we could at least stream it on twitch anyway...

One thing I loved about Direct is that every area got its own. As European you often feel left out as news mostly concern Japan or America. But Nintendo made one for each. And even subtitled the videos for major European languages. That's not a given thing.

So why did the DS succeed? Because it’s (good) games were mostly exclusive to the platform and no watered down version of a console game. PSP already had the same problem. I personally own only PSP games that (at the time) were only available on PSP. Sadly they didn't learn from that. But I still love my Vita,

Ever played Graal Online? I'm not sure about its status now but back in the day you could build levels and upload on a server for everyone to play.

Every time I read something about they try to add to the game I think, no finish the game already. It feels like they are still in the oh that's a cool idea lets try to add it process.

I don’t think most people will think of such details. A German in such uniform just equals Nazi...

Sometimes I belive Japan is made of only by themed or pop up cafes. They just love these kind of things.

I feel like it's happening rather often in Bandai Namco games. Dragonball games have the same issue and sometimes get only an instrumental track. But, like you, I thought Tales was save now because of Xillia. When Ayu can release her vocals worldwide than anyone can.

(Nearly) every hardware booth on gamescom. And I think it's not going to change cause it's public, unlike E3. They have no fancy gameplay or trailers to show so they have to make themselves noticed with other means...

Yeah but 3D makes it even worse... I’m not against CGI but the way it’s used here is just too different from the rest. Well let's see what they'll do with the character design next. The one responsible for Crystal isn't on contract anymore afaik.

The CGI was awful. Spaghetti arms and legs looked more like Gum Gum Ruffy. And the eyes were so dead. Compare it to any transformation of the old Sailor Moon series, the only thing that's holding up is the music.

The attacks were kinda ok. But the transformation scenes, pure nightmares.

And hasn't there been a controversy of the E3 demo, that wowed everyone, consisting of only facades and nothing in the back (yet)? Or I'm really old and mixing up games right now...

And on the other hand there is Sailor Moon Crystal... Ok I'll stop beating a dead horse. Crossing fingers Toei will put some guys from Precure to help with the next Sailor Moon season.

Yeah I read similar things. Still makes it strange in terms of copyright protection. There is even an official website for uploading vocaloid fan art so people can show their work legally. Sites like pixiv are actually full of illegal artwork.

Sometimes I don’t get Japanese copyright. They are strict with pirating and general rules what to do with their IPs and what not. On the other hand they allow things like doujinshis that are even sold for money. Some IP holder’s stance is just as long as it's done in low numbers they don't care.

I'm wishing back for the days not every sentence ended with Alter!
