"For Social Justice!*"

Oh look! It's the "I'm an oppressed minority with mental disorders so everyone should toss my salad!" I was wondering when you'd make an appearance.

I can't even comprehend that. I find myself no less "immersed" (which I still think is a load of bunk marketing term) in games where I play as a non-white or non-male character. I don't need to play a white dude to "identify" with the character.

You don't need to ask for "approval" or "permission". That's stupid.

He's a SJW/WK who feels bad about his sexuality. So he feels like he has to preface his interest in a female by dissuading what he thinks are extant Feminist arguments against him, to prove he's 'not like that'.

Thank you! Your examples are exactly the thing I fear, trying to force diversity into a game.

As a gay male, it is not. I have been represented in "diversity" in games time and time again — an emotional wreck, a stereotyped gay, a sex addict, a predator looking to turn straight and bi men. I've even been window dressing to make the "world better" and had a WHOLE planet isolated in the universe for people like

Many people have prejudices towards male gamers, that's why.

Because that's how the comments to these usually go as everyone assumes the absolute worst of the letter-writer.

once again to clear things up, not the "She's so beautiful inside and out! I must own her!!!" kind of love but I legitimately care for this girl and I'd like her to be involved in my life for as long as possible.

I loved Ni no Kuni. Also really enjoyed Tales of Xillia, Disgaea 4, Valkyria Chronices, Ar Tonelico, and the Atelier series. And I cannot wait for Persona 5.

Subjective opinions on what "the best" seventh-gen JRPG happens to be aside, the PlayStation 3 absolutely stomped the 360 in terms of selection. To the extent that choosing a platform is kind of a no-brainer for any JRPG fan.

*Playing World's Tiniest Violin* What is being diverse just for the sake of being diverse?

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is how they keep trying to offend someone by continually trolling a rebuttal. Take note of the whimpering, passive-aggressive jabs.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you a prime example of a Social Justice Warrior. Note the passive aggressive and self-important opening statements followed by the immediate shaming language.

Christ! You guys are like piranha voraciously descending upon a single fish that dares swim out of sync with the Social Justice Warriors.

I'm so bored of all these fake "outrages".

You always have to play as Arno because that's who the character is. Contextually, people in 19th century France would respond differently to a woman or a minority, so they'd have to rewrite dialogue to accommodate that without making it feel historically weird.

Why are we giving this man such a hard time about wearing a fucking fedora? If he likes it, then he can wear it! Lay off. I'm sure you all wear something that other people think is really stupid too. And if you don't, either you're disillusioned or care too much.
