Re: Why do you hate bodily autonomy for women so much?
Because it's an expression of total and utter selfishness, Ocean.
These kind of laws make me super happy. :)
Excellent! I thoroughly endorse these measures. Here's to the day when we succeed in banning elective abortion entirely.
I'm not sure how the personhood of the mother is even relevant, Muffin. Of course you're a person. That doesn't mean you have the right to an abortion.
Compared to the LIFE of the embryo, the "liberty" of the mother is trivial and should hardly much concern us.
The overall trends seem to be against you, Setzer. A number of Eastern European and Latin American countries have made their abortion laws tougher, not loosened them, in the last few years.
Good.
I'm hopeful that the day will come when folks like yourself are utterly unable to get an abortion, anywhere in the world.
Drinking has costs, but (for me at leasts) the costs are worth it.
Exercise and a healthy diet help raise the sperm count, so there are other things you can do to counteract out the effects of alcohol.
Oh, you mean the same constitution that protected slavery, once upon a time?
Yup.
Her liberty, is indeed, less important than the LIFE of the embryo. Glad I could clear that up.
Disgusting.
this.
You chose an explicitly religious handle just so I would be unable to respond to you for fear of blasphemy, I see. Clever.
Awesome! Maybe this will encourage these mothers to choose NOT to murder their babies.
golly, your dumb.
Where were these cute teachers when I was in high school? Dammit.
Bush passed the relevant law in 2003. I worked in Africa several years later, for a development agency, and they carefully informed us about the relevant laws, including that we were legally required to abide by American laws re: age of consent. I don't actually know what the age of consent in that country was,…
That was my takeaway because, yes, I've worked overseas and was quite aware that Americans overseas are required to abide by American laws re: age of consent, not by the laws of the host country.
There are US armed forces in Hungary??!
