Age of consent is 16 or 17 in most states, but in Pennsylvania you can be charged with 'corruption of minors' if your partner is below 18.

It will probably take longer than three months, but you're on the right track.
In the early-modern period in England, there was apparently quite a number of men who married older partners (probably in part for economic reasons).
The controversial bit is that there are folks out there who assert that the reason why (heterosexual) male prostitution is not a thing, is because prostitution is meant to oppress women. Or something. I don't get the argument, but it exists.
Re: My grandfather has a better chance with his favorite 19-yo checkout girl at the Piggly Wiggly than I have with Tom Hiddleston. Or Idris Elba. Or Patrick Stewart, for that matter.
This is an excellent point. Age is only one of the things that makes someone attracted to someone else. I have very strong preferences…
As one of those older guys who like younger women, I'm glad to hear that. I would add, though, you might be surprised: there are a lot of younger men out there with "mommy" complexes too, who might like to be taken care of by an older woman partner. The aforementioned Aaron Johnson, for example.
Re: Erections are not that delicately calibrated. Some guys have a difficult time rolling with less than optimal conditions, but the younger they are, the easier it is.
As any high school boy will tell you, that's an understatement.
Re: The only reason there aren't many male prostitutes servicing female clientele is the…
It's more than just looks- it's quite possible some of those men are actively looking for an older, experienced, quasi-parental 'mommy figure', just like some younger women are looking for dominant older men. Some people- men and women- just like to be taken care of. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
Yea, her spouse was 19 and she was 42 when they started dating. good for her, though I don't personally think Aaron is the good looking.
probably entirely because society shames them.
Glad it isn't an issue any longer.
I hate the term 'gold digger' because it's pejorative. there's nothing wrong in dating or marrying for money or status, any more than there is in dating someone because they're good looking, or because you share a common love of comic books or mountain biking or heaven knows what else.
I can't tell you what works, as a woman. but as a man, overcoming social anxiety is a big one. working out, getting more professional advancement / status, self confidence all help too. And most of all, just meeting lots of people, talking to lots of people, and asking lots of people out.
I'd like to see more discussion of it, and I think women as much as men could benefit from trying to think about the reasons they're 'involuntarily celebate', and how to change it. (Some of them may be societal reasons, other may be personal).
Historically, rather a lot of women were involuntarily celibate.
Re: Personally, I would choose and have repeatedly chosen much younger (8 years) college boys for casual sex based on their youth, athleticism, and eagerness to please. But I wouldn't choose a college kid for a romantic partner at knife point
If you find them attractive, why wouldn't you?
I think we'd be better off if…
Excellent news! I look forward to the day that elective abortions are outlawed once and for all in this country.
Didn't I just say that I don't consider your personal freedom to be particularly important, compared with the duty to preserve the life of your child?
No response, Hello? Perhaps you have trouble thinking of one?
So, consulting sources like the GSS, the Olson paper on heritability of attitudes, etc. is 'wishful thinking' now?
Sigh. Name calling is no substitute for sound moral reasoning, Killjiji.
