The amount of people who were actually, seriously pissed by the lack of “Gay Bowser” is disturbing. Hell, when people discovered that Sunshine’s tutorial cut out FLUDD saying “R,” it was almost as if Nintendo came by and killed their puppies in cold blood. No joke, one guy was bitching at how Nintendo was too “cheap”…

So there’s absolutely no chance I buy the game (because the hard working, presumably decent people in the studio do not stand to benefit financially from my purpose, but *she* does).  But my heart goes out to all the people at the studio who, when they started, were excited to work on a beloved pop culture property…

“Support the Devs” is just code for “I was mad that JKR is supporting the discrimination of an already vulnerable group but when pressed to change my behavior in the slightest to discourage it I find I have no principles”

lol people actually thinking that buying a game from one of the biggest corporations in the world based on one of the biggest media franchises int he world is going to “support the developers”, like they’re going to see any of that money anyway.

They didn’t lie. What happened was that Walmart broke the street date with a tweet and everybody else followed suit lest they miss out on preorder money.

Yeah well they lied, pre-orders are already done and dusted immediately after the freakin’ PS5 showcase, because no one deigned to tell the public at large anything other than it was starting tomorrow.  NOT TODAY, TOMORROW.

Sony just announced their own version of gamepass though for PS5. You get all these free games at launch as long as you have PS+ It may not be as large a selection as gamepass, but it is tied to your Playstation+ and thus not an extra charge, so that will win over a lot of people.

100$ is a large enough difference that…

PS5 for the exclusives, all the way, with Game Pass for PC on the side to play all the first party Microsoft Studios games (and many others) on my PC.

Gonna guess maybe you are young or single.  If I kept every console I ever owned I would have a ton of shit collecting dust in a basement somewhere.  

While this is the correct answer for 99% of PS4 owners out there with the same concern, I probably should have specified that the only reason I’m not holding off until 2021 to buy it is because the HDMI port on my ps4 is broken, and I’d rather just sell the PS4 and put the money towards a PS5 than fix it.

There’s no way they were planning on having the digital only version being $400 before the Series S was announced.

I hate to spike the football early, but considering I was planning upwards of $600 per console (xbox and PS), this generation feels downright cheap, if I can get a max powered ps5 for $400 and an X with the drive for $500.

I’m pretty sure it’s 500$ for what you see in that picture.

That’s about what we all thought it was going to be. Its the sweet spot between the overpriced PS3 at launch and the underpriced PS4 at launch.
