i could’ve been more clear. i’m not talking about accountability for criminal behavior—i’m talking about being accountable to the public for something as basic as your personality, which was the first thing OP mentioned. like, it’s a genuine stretch to think that the way that a person is understood “parasocially”, in

you do know there was a time when game developers were semi-anonymous and not required to submit their personal lives to public accountability, right? do you think that’s normal, and should be expected of every artist?

the shape of the console is pretty ingenious. by avoiding any flat surfaces it maximizes heat transfer throughout the body of the console, regardless of which way its stored—because there will always be at least two large gaps between it and anything else. this will theoretically increase the life of the console

i think the OP’s overall critique goes a bit deeper though—like, even the original games were never great stealth games. people treat the gaming experience like it was this pure assassin experience, despite it always being rather on rails. the comparison to Hitman never stuck because the AI in the AC games is not very

not exactly. if you’re programmed to chase icons, then icons is all you’ll find. i suggest turning off some of the more intrusive GUI and just exploring Odyssey. its rendition of Ancient Greece really is a sight to behold.

have a heart

fortunately i make enough money to afford both, but i’m not interested in impulse purchases. i will wait to see improvements in both the switch and the deck before i commit.

whether or not it’s right or wrong, i think nintendo has stopped making “cheap games” like in the wii era because, even though the wii’s success was astronomical, the system ended up being so overloaded with crap that it made it look frankly kind of trashy.

i sold my switch years ago at this point, and am waiting for an updated, more powerful version. if that indeed comes to pass.

if only they had done a straight adaptation of the reboot game it would’ve been smooth sailing. their decision to inject the movie with daddy issues rather than casting her within an ensemble of younger actors just sank the whole vibe of the film.

detective pikachu is more or less a straight adaptation of the videogame ‘detective pikachu’ though—a game that may be heavily influence by the anime, but is nevertheless... a videogame.

having never bought or played the original game i recently played the remake and was amazed by the visual fidelity and motion capture, which is among the best available. so it was weird to follow it up by playing the 2020 sequel which now looks notably inferior.

Elden Ring came out 10 months ago!

i don’t believe this to be true. she obviously has a hateful and outmoded worldview but i don’t think she’s celebrating murders.

you think you’re not exposing your editorial opinion because it’s not explicitly stated. but readers are not criticizing the text of what you’ve written, but rather the germinal ideas and curatorial process that drew you to certain determinations to begin with.

two billion wasn’t the break even point. two billion was cameron’s pie in the sky number. it was the number that stakeholders desired based on the first film’s performance.

i like HFR theoretically but it became distracting. which is a problem when trying to tell characters apart.

it played in premium format when the original came out, as well. adjusted for inflation the tickets were about the same at the time.

all of the kids subplots involve an enormous amount of fantasy world exploration and amazing underwater creatures. it’s the best part of either film. honestly all of the slower more meditative stuff may have been predictable in terms of plot, but it felt like genuine organic exploration of their world. which seems

i was looking for this one. i’m glad you mentioned it, as it’s probably my favourite of his later cameos.
