yes exactly. the OP suggesting that pain & gain represents the rock’s poor decision-making is off-target, and i’m guessing he doesn’t really have a solid criteria for judging quality filmmaking. michael bay is actually a good director when he wants to be.

i think the argument is that he should make more interesting films *like* pain & gain — not necessarily make smarter films, but action films that actually deliver the goods, rather than visfx slathered bores.
