Many action cams don’t have Optical Image Stabilization at 4k. Your Yi4k likely does stabilization at lower resolution like 2k or 1080p as it used the full sensor and can smooth out the video. When you’re using the full sensor and recording in 4k, there is no extra room to smooth it out. Thats going to be a

All the Chase rewards I’ve seen are basically the $ value of your cash back applied to some store gift card. Never understood why I would use that instead of just getting cash back.

What is the value of points to miles to $? I’ve never had a card for travel miles as the few times a year I’d use the miles seems like a waste when I can be getting usable cash back every month.

Definitely not. As much as I wanted those to be good, everything now from China is labeled 4k even if it isn’t. Most of those that tout 4k are only emulating 4k by stretching the image. The result is horrible on the actual 4k setting even in bright sunlight (and usually lower framerate). 1080p is good, as with most

ThiEye is cheaper and also has an actual 4k chip in it (not emulated) if you’re looking for 4k. Numerous comparison videos out there with ThiEye and Yi. You can find online for under $120. Nothing under that currently is actually 4k.

As midwesterners visiting NYC in early December, we came prepared for crowds and brushed up on getting around the city and what sites we wanted to see (our first time there). It was fairly easy and enjoyed the crowds at Times Square, skating at 30 Rock, walking around Central Park and the Holiday Shops, the Met, NBC

We just checked local retail and Game stores and asked when they get shipments in. They told us and when we came in they had one left. Around here they aren’t as hard to get anymore but I can easily see it being an issue as we get into late October on in preparation for the holidays.

Who said this was caused by climate change? We have hurricanes every year.

Why the need for a wifi hotspot if you have your iPhone? Can’t you tether it to your iPad? Wondering what a real use case would be for one. (Is it for travel to where you just buy local data sim?)

I’m very tempted by this but keep coming back to my main question, do I really care? To me it’s more work than it would ever be worth as I can’t even fathom why anyone would care about my macro data that’s not already encrypted. Is there an article on why I should care?

One problem with that is regional pay rates. I work with engineers all over the world. Many in Europe make 1/3 of what I do simply bc of location.

Vacation days are good...to a point. Unfortunately my company increased vacation at the cost of increased salary. Now I have too much vacation and too litttle salary.

Run it on your router.

What I find frustrating is when my work sends out financial figures related to employee compensation or 401k contributions and the salary figures used in their examples tend to be that of executives and not the every day engineer or manager.

For many, the main reason now to have cable is sports. Though with streaming services, some of that is going away, but not all.

Is it bad that even on YT’s highest settings I couldn’t tell any difference? I barely noticed any when he masked over it, I’m not sure I could actually tell unless he swapped back and forth from the original.

Are you not in a right-to-work state? There’s no way you’d get anything like that in one of those. They’d just fire you and be done with it.

Interesting how that always seems to happen (same happened with me). Either the former boss wasn’t giving good feedback and guidance or the new manager is lacking.

This is what I’ve seen happen to me. The documentation starts on little things and they of course are only one sided but it adds up over time to where they can say “see, here and here”. Many states are right-to-work so it doesn’t matter anyway as you can be fired for about any reason but it gives the company

Wish I’d have had this last year. Totally blindsided due to another coworker throwing me under the bus but wasn’t told about it until review time. Thanks. Coupled with a hard to please boss, it did not go well. It’s only slightly better now so am looking.
