ThiEye is cheaper and also has an actual 4k chip in it (not emulated) if you’re looking for 4k. Numerous comparison videos out there with ThiEye and Yi. You can find online for under $120. Nothing under that currently is actually 4k.

One problem with that is regional pay rates. I work with engineers all over the world. Many in Europe make 1/3 of what I do simply bc of location.

What I find frustrating is when my work sends out financial figures related to employee compensation or 401k contributions and the salary figures used in their examples tend to be that of executives and not the every day engineer or manager.
