You're absolutely right, and it's troubling. The fact that games are struggling to run at 1080 60 fps at launch on a next gen console is not pleasing at all.

The differences between console jumps back in those days were amazing and a huge difference, PC didn't start being cool in graphics again until 2003 and up.

I'm

I can't believe it... I still can't believe they are making a movie with my favorite characters, Drax and Thanos. I was the only one in the Avengers movie that got excited when Thanos was shown at the end, because I knew that by introducing him, they had to do something like this.

Sending some of the most far-out

I'm glad, I grew up with Drax and Thanos being my absolute favorite Marvel characters, and was always saddened that few people outside of the hardcore comic book reading world knew who they were. I still cannot believe they are making a movie out of one of the most expected decisions.

I'm a huge fan of the SNES game. Re-played it more times than I can count. When the PC game came out last August, I jumped all over it and found out immediately...

Someone, actually, a group of guys were hard at on re-creating the SNES Shadowrun. For a fan-game, they did a good job and I think they still put effort

I'm a big fan of Anders, he was a lil' bad ass. Buff, slick hair cut with a arm machine gun, before FFVII Barett made it look cool.

Have you even played this game? "the first big next gen game" Lol, what? It does NOT look next-gen at all. Titanfall looks like a 360 game through-and-through. No next-gen enhanced visuals whatsoever. Everything Howard mentioned makes absolute sense. I played 5 hours of the PC Beta; there is NOTHING next-gen about

So are the disgusting graphics. Completely unacceptable. Moving up close to everything reveals just how flawed the game. Turn the volume off completely and take a damn good look at Titan Falls visuals and you'll find utter disappointment. With a game this ugly in 2014, especially one that's considered 'AAA' you would

Played the PC version (all settings max, at 1080p).

Honestly, i'm not impressed. It's fun in spirts. Game play wise, it's fast paced, which is nice, and it's definitely smooth, but it's lacking in substance. It's one of those games that will hold you over for 45 minutes to an hour and than your good for the rest of the

Such a damn shame, indeed. We could have had some great fighting game, close-to-arcade ports without relying on the Sega Saturn and snore fest load times.

I nicknamed my bird "DOUBLE ANAL" to give me a edge, so when I make it to pipe 7 on, all remaining survivors will read my name, laugh, and hit a pipe.

Doesn't mean crap. I tested Killzone 3 in 'Alpha' form, and it graphically didn't change much. Textures and assets looked like-for-like. Most, if not all game Beta's are a "what you see is what you get" as far as visuals go.

I wouldn't expect this game to magically look better anyway, this game is just another

I was obsessed with '1999' A.D, the end of the world, and the possible bleak future that was run by robots that celebrate human genocide because of Chrono Trigger.

1995? Damn, I was only 8 years old at the time... I tried everything I could to glitch the game and somehow get into the 1999 a.d. area and explore. I went

Yeah, I had the N64 before the Playstation, that's when I first started doing console port comparisons at a really young age. I tore apart Mortal Kombat Trilogy on both PSX and N64. N64 version had awful sound but it seems like they worked more on it, it was much more balanced with an additional mode, no loading, less

So... Does every game made in Source engine have to have thee ugliest, muddiest, poor texture detail up close??? Is that a Source requirement? Trademark? Because it sure as hell seems like it. Yeah, the game is still in Beta, but I highly doubt they'll do much to really change the overall look by much in the final

Would this have been able to have run near-arcade like 2D sprites, would it have been powerful enough to have run the likes of CPS2 games with the same fluid animation?

Better yet... How much better would N64 have been if it was CD based? Think it would have been able to pull off Street Fighter 3?

Sounds like a good thing to me. I'm not impressed by the gameplay or the graphics. Game looks like 2011's finest. Nothing next-gen about it. I expected as much though, too early on the consoles life span to expect greatness I guess. Environments are static with no deformity or destruction, textures are last-gen

Now playing

No, they are talking about it being a near arcade-perfect port of the Strider II arcade game.

Lol, yeah, you had to do that dumb menu cheat were you mirror share your character with the other players in order to do tag team matches. Lame.

Oh Snap! You're right. I used to have dreams and nightmares about owning a Neo Geo only to get it it taken away, or wake up to it not being true. I always wanted Samurai Showdown II, IV, and KOF 96 in it's arcade glory in my living room. Those things were crazy expensive.

2:09-2:16 "Near-arcade perfect port"

WHAT!? That actually was a big deal bag in those days. Console ports always struggled to match the graphical fidelity of the arcade versions well until the Dream Cast, ESPECIALLY Playstation, with it's limited RAM, always got the shit end of the stick. I didn't even have to nit pick
