Pretty much every vacationer who decided it couldn’t hurt to spend the night at that old Gothic castle/mansion up the road.

Gotta second the endorsement for SPIDER BABY, a truly bizarre black comedy from decades past. Basically, imagine The Addams Family, if the Addamses actually killed and ate their visitors.
Thanks for finally listing “Svengoolie.” MONSTER ON THE CAMPUS is a fun old flick, which I used to watch all the time as a kid.
And I’ve never seen Z NATION, but I’m pretty sure iZOMBIE outranks it. :)
Also on my wish-list: a finale to NBC’s short-lived steampunk DRACULA show. We never even got to see Lucy wreck havoc as a vampire, damnit.
I wouldn’t mind one last batch of DEXTER episodes to give us a better ending to the story . . . .
A nice, comprehensive survey, which even mentions the Scribes!
Yeah, one of things I really liked about KILLJOYS was the way they gradually “unpacked” (good word) the world-building over the course of season by using the warrants-of-the-week as an excuse to gradually give us a tour of the Quad and introduce us to all the players and factions and simmering political issues, so…
Don’t forget XENA.
And this is where I shamelessly plug DEADLANDS: GHOSTWALKERS by Jonathan Maberry, the first in a new line of “Weird Western” novels based on the popular role-playing game. (Full disclosure: I’m the editor on the series.)
Thanks for the reminder. I’ll have to pick that up!
I’ll keep that in mind. Thanks.
I honestly can’t keep up anymore. I have the entire first seasons of HUMANS and DARK MATTER recorded and I’m sorely tempted to delete them simply because when will I ever find ten-plus hours to watch either of them, especially with the new season coming up and so many other shows returning. And the second season of…
Heck, cast “Aunt Wendy” as one of the Brides . ...
Okay, I want to see this.
Stoker’s novel reveals next to nothing about the Brides, so they’ve got lots of wiggle room here.
Thanks for the recommendation. It wasn’t so much a deliberate choice as simply a matter of having only having so many hours to keep up with TV. (I’m still two eps behind on DEFIANCE . . . .)
Yay! Haven’t checked out Dark Matter yet, but I’m liking KILLJOYS so far.
I wanted to see more of that, too.
Alas, I was in college when Galactica 1980 aired so . . . yeesh!
“Wait! The Cylons, the unstoppable killer robots that destroyed an entire advanced human civilization, can be taken out by a microwave oven?”
Trivia: The original Munsters DID make it into color in MUNSTERS GO HOME, a feature film released around the same time as the original TV series. I remember thinking they looked just as cool as ever, back when I was a kid.
I don’t know. THE NEW AVENGERS suffers by comparison to the classic 1960s series, but, as I recall, it wasn’t as dismal as, say, GALACTICA 1980. Then again, I haven’t watched it in decades.
