Actually, the story about the editor does surprise me. I've been in sf publishing for most of my adult life, and I can't imagine any editor I know editing a gay character out of a book without even consulting the author first. And, honestly, I don't know any professional editor who would want to do so . . . unless

You know, people complained that the old SUPERGIRL movie was too silly or campy or whatever, but clearly the screenwriter had done his homework and was just trying to capture the feel of the original comics . . . .

"Sapphic car immolation"? Not that old trope again! :)

Hey, it's not like io9 is making this up. Videos like this are real and they're out there. And wacky doomsday predictions, of every religious or pseudo-scientific bent, are always good for a laugh. I mean, people make fun of Mayan prophecies, UFO cultists, flat-earthers, and Scientologists, too . . . .

That is indeed awesome, not to mention highly logical.

Thanks for mentioning Matheson's original story.

You can't copyright a title.

Forget the werewolves. It's those damn unicorns you need to watch out for . . . .

For what it's worth, they brought Trip back to life in the ENTERPRISE novels.

Dr. Strange, sometimes Sorcerer Supreme, has been demoted and had his powers reduced a couple of times . . . .

Gotta disagree. I don't understand the nostalgia for the "good old days" when the channel was mostly a graveyard for "beloved" old shows from the seventies. Nostalgia is fine in small doses, but I was never interested in watching decades-old reruns on a regular basis. I watched SciFi for FARSCAPE and THE INVISIBLE

Hey, where is XENA: WARRIOR PRINCESS? And DARK SHADOWS?

I can't see the poll, but I have to go with THE AVENGERS, Original STAR TREK, MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE, and THE ADDAMS FAMILY. (Yes, I'm old.)

I always thought "Flight of the Bumblebee" was to The Green Hornet as "The William Tell Overture" was to The Lone Ranger. Great music, but not exactly original themes . . .

Possibly my favorite B5 moment . . .

True, but I thought it was worth noting that Hall had already moved beyond the "Johh Hughes" phase of his career . . . .

I think starring in several seasons of the "The Dead Zone" counts as a steady job . . . .

Ash: You're not wrong at all. I'm hoping that Tray doesn't go the way of Myka's ferret and never be seen again. The Warehouse needs a dog underfoot . . . to give it an even homier feel.

My brain went the same way. I suspected some weird history angle, so I was caught offguard by the "mom" thing . . . .
