Nice... but what's the doohickey that isn't the faucet?
Some of my favorite stuff from Turntable isn't available on any of those services...
Yeah, 4K on that small of a sensor... wouldn't count on shooting anything outside of a well-lit environment... unless you don't mind it being noisy as hell from all the gain...
I find it weird that the 4K stuff is being called ultra-def, seeing as how the amazing NHK system that does 8K that's been around for a few years has already been well established as UHDTV (ultra high definition). 3480x2160 is actually called Quad-Full HD.
Whose idea was it to stick with the whole 1/1.7"-type measurements for sensor size? Granted, it used to make sense with pro TV cameras that were always 1/3, 1/2, 2/3... nice even stuff. Even the consumer grade stuff stuck to 1/6" sensors. Why not just either list it by the diagonal size in mm or use a decimal inch…
Guess I need to give this a shot by driving across the border into California... wondering if just changing time zones will work too... though you'd only have an hour's worth of pictures. Then again, lately I can't leave my phone set to auto time zone, because whenever I go to Mexico or California, once I'm back home…
Makes it even more interesting that they sell these at petsmart. A couple large ones have even been caught in local canals by fishermen (Yuma, AZ)... apparently someone was releasing them.
Isn't it going to be a real bitch to make all the connections with it that flush? I kinda like having a little bit of space to get my meaty paws up in there. Even just the ones that swivel up and down a tiny bit help...
That pinball app is pretty nice... it's a deal for a buck and even better free. I play it on my iPad2 quite a bit...
I'm always impressed by the technical directors too... I direct and TD with 4-5 cameras doing junior college football games and it's hard to keep up... but at least I have a finger for each camera so I can take shots without having to move my hand... it's a little different when you're running a GVG Kalypso that's got…
Yep. Notice how he pauses and leans back. You can hear him breathe in through his nose and the smoke stops for a moment, while he ducks into clear air to take a breath.
I guess the only real application I see is the rare person using a monitor that's not a TV and doesn't have a tuner, or is using a five year old TV that doesn't have an ATSC tuner. As far as an EPG, there's quite a bit of information encoded in the PSIP that stations are required to include in their signal, so I'm…
Relying on social networks or text message blasts in a crisis is even less wise. I work a mere 5 miles from where the AZ/SoCal/Baja blackout originated, and within 10 minutes of the power going out, all of the cell networks were completely overwhelmed. Our college campus had enough backup power to keep our network up…
You guys need to recalibrate your blog. The super black in the pluge isn't showing.
When I'm doing mundane, repetitive, non-'creative' stuff at work, I'm all about that kind of music. Find it less distracting than 'normal' music yet it keeps my mind busy enough to not start daydreaming about other stuff...
Is there any hope of getting internal PDF viewing back on the Mac version? Even just as a plugin would be great.
Seems a little iffy to drop $200 on a phone hoping you don't piss them off or anything... I'd be too afraid of making an investment like that and then getting the boot two months in because I text too much away from open wifi nets.
before you go praising Motorola, one of my crappy LG phones did it four years ago...
