After using a few other apps that do similar things, it seems like the logical thing would be for them to handle the rendering of the filters on their servers, rather than on the phone.

I guess my thought just came back to something like United 232; granted, here they had control, I just was wondering about using thrust from either side to keep it centered on the runway as much as possible, since that runway gets narrow when you have no steering.
So, any pilots out there... in a case like this, do you keep the engines spooled a little to have some thrust to help steer it and keep it centered (figuring the extra friction will still slow it? Or is there still enough effect from the control surfaces to prevent it from veering off to one side?
If I remember right, when you use an iPhone wall charger or do it via USB, it charges at 5W, but an iPad will charge at 10W from an iPad AC adapter (or slower from a 5W source), and this says it charges at 10W.
Eh, that's what happens when a producer tells some underpaid PA to "just find some file video"....
'enjoy the warmer weather after work'
Slacker is the best thing to happen in music since the 'original' XM (before it was ruined by the Sirius takeover). Loved the fact that when I hit the AOL Radio link above, it immediately picked up with the next song on the same station I was listening to this morning via the iOS app on my drive to work. The other…
Well played, sir.
Maybe next time try launching it straight on more level ground?
If it was in the US they'd be raising prices 5% to cover the cost of the change...
Probably cheaper in the long run to just do safety stickers (since they obviously don't have seat-back entertainment) than to keep replacing the stolen, lost, or ruined cards in the seat back pockets (if they survived the cheapness)...
Yes and no. It's still the thermal/molten sodium method that will allow for generation after dark (since it's still above 100˚ after 10pm pretty often here in the AZ desert), but rather than the central collection tower, they're using smaller concentrating troughs that will focus on tubing running down the middle,…
It's a universal app, same for iPad and iPhone.
Maybe someone should have them read up on Stuxnet...
Someone stole an entire building, contents and all, from a mining area in the Kofa Mountains in AZ. We had seen it numerous times, right out in the open desert, just off a well-traveled road in a wildlife refuge. It was a metal pre-fab type, about 45' high, and about 60' by 80'. One weekend we drove by and it was…
My first personal Mac was a 2004 iMac, which I got after I switched jobs and learned Final Cut Pro. Still sticking with the Mac, but learning Premiere (etc.) now...
I've stood 200 yards from a Harrier during hover demos. I can't imagine it being much louder than that. Having a Harrier base here we don't even notice it anymore.
Meh, I have Harriers based a mile from my house, I sleep through it all the time. They tell us the F-35Bs will be about 20% louder in my part of town. I'm sure we'll still sleep through them.
What, you want the trolls to actually do research before they go a-trollin'?
From what we've been told here, he'll also be spending time at the Naval Air Facility in El Centro, CA. Which is even more of a downgrade from Gila Bend. Curious to know if he'll be part of the WTI exercises conducted out of MCAS Yuma around that time... it's always fun to go to one of the evacuation points and watch…
