Changes? What about the fact that there are cities of 20k people where new residents are informed the city has no mail delivery, but the post office in that city also ran out of post office boxes and will not be making any more available, so mail is just not an option for them?

I’ve long advocated for the BDSM tools available at the local Tractor Supply, but I guess I’ll have to think more creatively the next time I’m at Harbor Freight too.

I miss Walmart’s Scan and Go system. (Basically same as Sam’s, if you’ve used it.) Scan with your phone and bag right into your cart as you shop, then just roll through the expanded self-check area and hit one of the special kiosks where you only had to scan the barcode on the card reader, and it processed through

Meanwhile one of the most underreported aspects of the outbreak is how military bases even stateside are faring. Our local Marine base was the source of the first (and third) local cases, but after the civilian contractors started an uproar over the lack of information being given about potential contacts with the

There’s also just something about the (extra) balls it took to jump on that jalopy and drive as far as 4.7 miles from the lander, all the while hoping it doesn’t crap out and result in a long, awkward hop back.

Just hoping this doesn’t alienate we Pro users the way they did with the Final Cut ‘do-over’ a decade ago. Best thing Apple ever did for Adobe. Would love to see a system that would smoke on video editing without needing a specific add-on card just to optimize for Apple’s codec only.

Perfect explanation. Basically it’s wonderful for we small-town schmucks who occasionally jaunt to the Big City and are used to parking for free, walking into restaurants, and ‘mass transit’ is three buses driving in circles around town all day with 3 people on them.

My biggest hope is that they don’t alienate the entire creative community the way they did the video side of it a decade ago with the absolute disaster that was the Final Cut X transition. Their attempt to appeal more to consumers pushed a large portion of a very loyal and passionate base to switch to Adobe software;

Yeah, I’m getting closer and closer to pulling the trigger there. I’m no tinfoil wearer but I’ll sleep a lot better at night knowing that all my stuff is in the most privacy-minded ecosystem you can get.

Have to wonder how Boeing pulled off building this relatively successful platform while absolutely pissing the bed on practically everything else they’ve done for a decade... but then again I guess we don’t really know the nitty gritty of its development process, or cost.

the region’s abundance of sunshine, large pieces of flat, cheap land

Meanwhile, less than 200 miles away, our hospital finally has more tests in house than positive, admitted patients for the first time within the last few days, yet still has to wait 4-5 days for test results on every one. The disparity in the way testing has been distributed has been flat-out ignored.

Yeah, we had some 2003 ones where I work that burned stupidly easy.... one clearly had the Fox News bug, lower third graphic background, LIVE in the corner and ticker stripe burned into it.

The biggest threats to meeting attendees and organizers continues to be themselves.

Almost unfair to even include the SpaceX SuperDraco issue in the context of this, seeing as how Boeing’s issues were endemic corporate culture problems, whereas the failure of the SuperDraco was literally caused by a chemical reaction unknown to the world of chemistry at the time.

Projects of futility like these will be a boon for those who get the lucrative contracts, but I guess it just sounds sexier than being logical and accepting that (currently) beachfront property, or that near or below sea level, is going to have to be abandoned in the long term.

Weather Channel forecasts are just as bad, at least for my city. Only thing worse is “Accu”weather. We get <3" of rain a year, but both would make you think that we were Portland. Wunderground comes out better, despite being owned/affiliated/whatever with the Weather Channel, because they stick to NWS models rather

Meanwhile farmers here in AZ are plowing hundreds of acres of unharvested produce under each week, and we’ve got all the free asparagus, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, romaine, bok choy, you name it, that we can fit in the fridge and find a use for.

Their pins look like they’ve been in use since the 60s too. Yeesh.

That’s assuming someone has figured out how to pry him out of the Oval, after somehow penetrating the 1,300 armed ‘patriots’ encircling the WH who will not accept the outcome of the November election.
