Honestly, at this point I'd point the blame at Apple and not the dev. It's been so long now, there's likely some developers who never worked with 4.2 out there. Really hoping this crap ends when iOS 5 drops... or maybe we'll be on 4.2.27 then.

The closeup with the 'Deep' names is ten rows in, so what letter would all those blues be starting with? And for that matter, how exactly can you have Pantone colors on glass? I didn't think they did anything transparent... just ink and the like... (forgive me, I'm a video guy— ha ha)

Contrary to popular belief, the news choppers in the US aren't 'always' in the air. Even before the budget cuts over the last few years led stations to share choppers, cut hours in the air or cancel leases entirely, typically they would only be in the air limited hours outside of the normal newscast times.

I was just happy to see Slacker included for once. Unlike Spotify, you can actually listen at work without needing to install an app. I find it interesting that my campus still has Napster blocked too.

No Napster? Seems like it should be included.

Because his totem keeps falling over.

Plus there comes a point where the deceleration alone becomes an issue, not just the sheer impact, since that's a relatively large piece of glass that's not well supported in the middle. A titanium shell will protect from blunt force, but you need some thick padding to allow for gradual deceleration.

Or a lucky schmoe at the right bar in the Bay Area...

Not to mention the fact that if he's waiting IN LINE, he shouldn't need to use a car.

The problem is you have two choices with Hulu... watch lots of stuff for free on my computer (which I don't want to do), or pay to watch on a TV what I already get for free with an antenna. Hulu+ is virtually all content from broadcast networks.

I was really bummed that for this last flight there were no visible passes for where I live.

I mostly stream tv series I missed on broadcast or never could see not having cable. I still think there's a market out there to stream more current cable offerings... not just series from a few years back. I'd much rather pay $20 a month and be able to get some of the more popular stuff from cable, and not just

Same for me, since I 'share' my streaming account with a buddy (ssssshhhhh....)

Looks like they're building houses along the edges...

Precisely. I get sick of the complaints about Best Buy's Geek Squad charging $XX to do something I find mundane and have the skills to do myself. By all means, they should continue to pad their revenues with the money of those too lazy or who lack the skills or desire to do those things; in the long run, it makes for

Does it ever actually change? I only ask because the times I've seen it posted, it's always YES, and I never think to look otherwise.

[Insert Giz meme related to stuffing (object TBD) into one's trousers]

I know the Watch Tower society (ie, Jehovah's Witnesses) have a pretty wild printing operation. I think they use Lithomans also, and if I recall right, the US branch prints a congregation-worth of a particular issue in about a second and a half.

Given the vacuum, I think something else might end up 30ft long...

Unusable as a normal PC, yes, but I don't know that it's unheard of to run some rather crazy resolutions for digital signage applications. And a lot of those types of systems seem to still like Win XP for it's (relative) stability. Just recently spent a night troubleshooting a box at a local theatre that drives three
