Yeah but at least you guys regularly get some rain in between the dust storms. Down here in Yuma we just get the dust and leftover humidity... if we're lucky we might get to see lightning in the distance, but no rain.

I live in Arizona, I get angry when anyone complains that 100˚ is "too hot". I'll accept your griping once it's over 115˚. And I don't give a good goddamn about how humid is is, either. I've seen our heat indices above 150˚ on several occasions.

Unless I'm missing something (and I may be, because all I ever hear is IT"S THE SHIZZZ!1! but never WHY), it looks to be the only one I know of that requires an app to play on a computer. Which means it's not happening on mine or a lot of other people's work computers.

I'm thinking they may do it partly to make it harder for someone to 'jailbreak' it to defeat the ads— making it something in the hardware that triggers the ads, rather than a software 'switch' that could be defeated.

I'd be curious just the same to see how many people with 4G-capable phones, but who live in non-4G territory, think they have 4G. I cannot believe how many of them profess how fast their phone is, even though they're on the same 3G network I'm on.

I prefer this to the way it was previously... it got annoying clicking on stories in the sidebar expecting them to be here on Giz but instead being sent to another site. Personally I think they should have just made the colored headlines match which site the story belonged to, in the cases where they cross-post.
