987 to 981 Porsche Boxster/Cayman
My new neighbors have a white, current generation RAV4.
The house next door has a white, current generation RAV4.
The house across the street has a white, current generation RAV4.
I wish I was kidding. Waiting for the next one to show up,
> I drove the Cayman extensively on track at the Porsche Driving School. Loved the car. But the HUGE sticking point is paying $95K for that engine.
This. $95K is what my custom-ordered 981 Spyder cost me new, and we knew turbo-4s were coming back then. I also got everything I wanted in it.
Let’s all remember that the EXP10 Speed 6 will never be made.
Pretty much this.
With forever cars, it’s a lot easier. You plan, you budget, you save, you have money set aside for the inevitable ,“big things” like rebuilding a engine.
I’m in Boston. I’ve not left home since March 13th, no regrets on that decision.
I’ma be blunt: You don’t get ahead by having a car payment your entire life.
BMWs are fine as a, “one car solution.” The low TCO of a Lexus GS is what makes it easier to have more than one car.
Best car no one bought, and a car I always heavily recommended to folks.
Even though I’d prefer not people go that quickly, the reality is when a lot of family sedans, hot hatches, and luxury cars have 300+HP, going 100mph just... doesn’t take very long. From rolling at 70mph, it’s maybe 5 seconds of the go pedal. In actual sports cars, more like 3 (some even less).
Again, don’t go that…
I forgot about the Cayman! Are it and the Boxster just convertible and hardtop versions of the same car?
> rent on the leases for this year
Year?
Fact: Your car will not give you Coronavirus!
I still want them to build the EXP 10 Speed Six.
The Vonnen is very neat, but in terms of packaging, I guarantee you that doesn’t hit Porsche’s standard (such as the motor controller on top of the rear shelf). I bet it doesn’t meet Chuck’s standard either, but it’s the best he can do (which is pretty good!) without charging unobtanium amounts of money for the…
I get no more miles from PS4S than Pirelli PZeros. I tried.
I’ll be honestly, $29,000 for 400,000 miles exceeded my expectations for certain, especially where the Model X had known bugbears.
High torque car weighing 5,000lbs. I’m not surprised. About where I’d figure.
Not really.
Now it just needs a multilink rear suspension. Oh, and double wishbone suspension in the front would be sweet!
