If this early era of Shelby interests you, I recommend “Shelby American Up Close And Behind The Scenes: The Venice Years” by Dave Friedman. Mostly photos (Friedman was the Shelby American photographer at the time, and has published a bunch of books about motorsports in this era), it still has a lot of info packed in

I’m not sure what he’s complaining about here.

My car is a 2008 Honda Fit Sport with 88,000 miles; what has been replaced from almost a decade of ownership, in no certain order: the battery, alternator, air conditioning compressor, left front suspension (the spring broke somehow?), spark plugs, water pump, tires, drive belt, brake pads/rotors/shoes (many times),

I kept my Mom from donating this to Goodwill a while back when she moved. I would have vomited so hard had it gone. I wear it almost everyday.

What are their current vehicles, and can you give me their number?

FIFY

No is it people not knowing how to practice leave not trace camping:

going outdoors is about striking a balance between discomfort and tranquility in an inherently uncomfortable setting.

As long as they do not trash the outdoors. All this increase in people camping has been trashing the outdoors. Tread lightly! Also I do plenty of overlanding with my jeep and about $300 of camping gear.

Yeah, it just means that they’re all at varying degrees of the production process, but they are all in development. For sure.

I saw an ad the other day for a super clean NA Miata that was missing its motor. $5k. I’d laugh if this wasn’t the new norm.

Idk there, a solid 1cm? (Dimensions hard to judge) crack in a welded part that is on visible non-redundant drivetrain parts doesn’t seem like “invisible and unpredictable” until it breaks. It seems more like the kind of thing that bridge inspectors note growing fatigue cracks on for 20 years before anyone actually

I’m not going to sit here and pretend you should have done better... but this is why places like Germany have real safety inspections, not the bad jokes that count for most areas here stateside.

A HHR may be shitty, but dooming someone to have to buy a car in this market sucks.

I don’t see how this is the county’s fault. It’s pretty basic knowledge that you don’t leave your vehicle in a snowstorm. Sounds like the family is lashing out because they don’t want to recognize their son/brother made a poor choice. Sad stuff for sure

So body-cam footage of this rescue by officers is officially released within 24hours but body-cam footage of officers breaking the law takes 18months and/or an act of congress to make it out?

They must have left the table hungry, lol.

This man doesn't sleep or take vacations does he?  He was filming the next movie before French Dispatch came out and now he's planning the next next film?  Martin Scorsese is envious of the output.  Love it.

One suggestion for the drivetrain- Just give it a modern 1x10 (or 11) MTB drivetrain. There’s no real reason to run a double or a triple ring up front, you can save some weight and it’s totally possible to get an oldschool crank and just run a single narrow-wide chainring. Sure, the gigantic 11-50 (or 11-42) cassette

If I got even a fraction of the dollars people claim journalists are paid off, I wouldn’t need to work so hard. Eat shit.
