In California (and I think maybe Arizona) the pavement markers are recessed into the road surface. Not sure if that’s so the plows don’t rip them off or not because I think its statewide, not just in the snowy areas.

When I first pulled the car out of its space that tire was frozen due to a stuck brake. The car weighs so little that the tire was just happily skidding along, not freeing the stuck brake. So I slashed my own tire to create some more drag. It worked. lol
