Because air travel is exhausting and awful.  Everyone carrying extra bags overflowing with junk makes it more so - longer security checks, more crap sitting around the chairs at the gates, more junk clogging the overhead bins and other areas, more difficulty getting on/off the plane.  Just...don’t.

The Wheeler Dealer episode with that was pretty interesting.  Looked like a fun little car.

Mazda cheaped out in a similar fashion in our 3. I was trying to adjust the mirrors the other morning after my wife had driven it, but didn’t realized you twist right for the left mirror and vice versa. Kept thinking “WHY ARE THEY BOTH SO WONKY” before I was at a stoplight and could actually see them. Oops. Lights…

Fuck Honda, guess I’ll go elsewhere to get a sunroof on a hatch with only a few other options. 

I’m sure it is, but it’s also laziness.  All of the hardware for painting the car a given color is there, but they didn’t want to make a new Shop Order.  Fuckers.

Stuff might actually last longer, too...people don’t GAF if their $38.75 TV shits itself in a year.  But make it $800 and they’d be pissed.

That’s probably my biggest flaw as a husband - while I do have plenty of normal chores that I do (we split things up pretty well) and I do them by recognition, I’m not good at recognizing/doing other non-chorey stuff. It’s hard...and thank god my wife’s good at it.

Ugh, that sucks. Especially when it tempers an experience which you could have otherwise enjoyed so much more.  I feel for anyone trying to buy something now...very glad to be comfortable in our home with no desire to move.

He mentions wagons, CUVs, and SUVs, and you suggest a “car.” Do you mean a sedan? Why would he want a sedan with the choices he mentioned?  Fuck it, he should buy a Miata, all he needs is four wheels.
