I work better outside home, not because I have absolutely no willpower to resist distractions, but because I'm used to working in a noisy environment. In a completely quiet environment like my home, I just can't seem to get into my "work mode".

@shkm: and that they need to do way instain mother who kill thier babby who can't frigth back. I heard about it on the news this mroign.
@tyler.derden: You obviously have never programmed before. Languages such as C++ leave "garbage collection" (free variables from memory, NULLing pointers, closing threads, etc) up to the programmer. This is good and bad, as it allows the programmer more control, but if the programmer neglects to clean up "garbage",…
@gerrrg: Registry cleaning has been proved to be a myth, numerous times. There is no performance gain to be had by removing unused file extensions or various data from the registry, since all of the registry hives rarely take up more space than 150MB (and registry hives are not cached in the RAM). The total amount of…
@Ninjahippie: I really notice no performance difference between a fresh installation of Ubuntu/Debian vs a fresh installation of Windows 7. Ubuntu consumes less memory, but if you have 2GB of RAM, windows should run fine alongside a moderate amount of proccesses.
@orlo: Does it do anything other tha auto-search? That's all it seems to do for me, and I despise it for that.
There is no way I can ever think that I've had a bad day after reading this, the worst day in my life is a relaxing holiday compared to this.
@rebanehv: Obvious troll is obvious, yet I guess not to most LH commenters. *sigh*
I hate google instant, it's annoying how the page refreshes every time I pause to enter the next word in a search query. It's got to be the most useless feature, considering it takes about 1 second to press the enter key.
@jjw3579: LOL nice find xD

@JaxBearsFan: The problem is that there is no reason for Apple to put these restrictions on developers other than to monopolize the app market. It's not like allowing apps to run with root access would be some incredibly resource and time consuming project. The issue is that Apple has of late been showing incredibly…
The fact that Apple's putting huge development restrictions such as no root access, no background processes just disgusts me, this is worse than Apple rejecting iOS apps based on ideas they were planning on implementing (i.e video chat). I try not to be a pretentious Mac hater, but with shit like this happening all…
@lewis82: I forget (I tested it when I got it as a christmas gift), but I'll rerun the test sometime.
@njefferson: That's a completely illogical hypothesis, as according to that logic, you'd be bleeding constantly, not just when you flossed. The reason you bleed is a result of mild to severe gingivitis. Here's the explanation from wikipedia:
@akuma_619: 80 kbps is nuts unless you have crappy speakers/sound card. But I agree that 320kbps is largely unnecessary, I'm usually happy with 256 kbps, and with some songs, 128kbps is enough.
@tproku: Without a master password, one can go to Firefox's options window, click the "Security" tab, then click the "Saved Passwords" button and select any of the websites the passwords are saved for and click "Show Password", amazingly insecure.
Amazingly, my Kindle 3 passes the Acid3 test, 100/100 score, perfect rendering (in grayscale obviously). Even firefox doesn't pass the Acid3 test, let alone most mobile phone browsers.
@davepermen: I hope not, if tethering became widespread, Amazon would be forced to charge for 3G use.
