@ColbertForPrez: I never claimed they were, but they make outrageous implications that their software has very little exploits due to their own actions, whereas that's more due to the Macintosh computer having less than a 10% market share, not actual software design. They boast there good design is better than others

This is absolutely pointless, any situation in which one would lose their phone, but have it near enough that they'd hear it ringing they're probably be in their home or the office, which means they'd be near a phone.

RE to Hand Sanitizer:

@freedomweasel: The reason its more annoying yet hilarious that Apple makes such an obvious screw-up is that they are constantly spamming their softwares alleged security in their elitist ads, such as the "I'm a mac" ad campaign.

lol Dr Evil on the "One million dollars" bill.

@jupigare: My point wasn't to diss minimalism, I think that its a great idea for people who are comfortable with it. I was just trying to say that there really is no superior lifestyle.

I think Windowblinds is more advanced, and has wayyyy more themes. From what I can tell, this only around 13 themes available, and most are only really cool for XP users who want vista-like themes.

I don't really think its the actual price that's enticing, its more that people think:

I think in most situations it's fairly easy to judge an idea before its creation, as humans, part of our marvelous social skills involves looking at an idea or action from the 3rd person or as what another person would think.

Am I the only one trying to figure out if this is talking about literally choking (can't breath) when under-pressure, or metaphorically choking, as in buckling under stress? For some reason the constant use of the word "choke" is making this article annoying to read.

Funny how contradictory lifehacker always is when it comes top the optimal lifestyle debate. Just a week ago there were a couple of posts denouncing minimalism, the week before that, praising minimalism.

I've never felt comfortable with a minimalist lifestyle, I like my messy room, it feels like 'home'. I know where everything is, even though other people might not, constantly trying to enforce a rigid structure on your life just adds another thing to your todo list.

@KTMitch: For some people who don't want to spend the time/hate the taste of health foods, this is better than nothing, since concentration at work is more important for some people than shaving a few calories off their diet.

This and the fact I believe its a waste of time is the reason I don't use facebook.

@gibson_se: You said in your original post that they both produce identical results, yet now you're saying that 1 produces less overcooked meat.

I personally like my burgers well done, with no pink. Its not that a little bit of pink in the middle bothers me, its just that I don't really care so I'll take the safer route and go with well done.

@PacJack360: I realize that thank you, I stopped using my laptop a while ago and switched entirely to my PC and my iPhone, so I pulled it out just to clarify what this post was describing, since I've never encountered such a quirk with XP. So there's really no need to upgrade to SP3 since I don't plan on using it.

Having to reboot after installing updates/software annoyed me when I had a shitty computer that took about 30 minutes from initial power-up to full usability, but my computers pretty much done booting 2 minutes tops from initial power-up. For most computers I don't see why its such a big deal anymore.

I have never seen Windows XP SP2 or SP1 do what this article describes, my laptop running XP SP2 never does it, in fact I just tried turning my router off and scanned local networks with my desktop, and saw no ad-hoc network created despite that my laptop and its wireless card were on, and attempting to find a network

@Jason: Hey there's no reason to go Judge Judy on me, its not like we're talking about kidnapping and raping women or something. I've already acknowledged that yes its illegal, no there isn't a moral justification for it, but there's also no reason to act pretentious and look down on people saving a few bucks through
