Picking up food in someone else’s car is a complete lack of respect. I never eat in my own car, so what makes you think I’d be okay with you picking up some smelly, greasy fast food with it? Use your own damn car to pick up food, or if free time is an issue considering preparing lunch at home. I’m not responsible for

Yep. I always thought of it as S-H-O until I saw a commercial somewhere for the latest one.

and unions were created to give workers an ability to stand up for themselves.

I grew up in Flint. Uncles and aunts worked for GM - so obviously they were UAW. I remember my uncles staying at home sleeping all day while their buddies clocked them in and out. It took a couple years, but GM finally caught on to this, so then they started a massive crackdown in plants to make sure those workers

You’re on point with this. Also, it provides an asylum for underperforming employees. Not the ones that genuinely need help to catch up to speed, but the ones that think they can fuck off and get away with it. The result is shitty products that can’t compete, but you are still bound by union contract, so you can’t

Perhaps recognizing they couldn’t keep their workers victims from joining our union extortion club based on the facts, Nissan and its anti-worker allies UAW ran a vicious campaign against its own workforce potential union tax payers that was comprised of intense scare tactics, misinformation and intimidation.

Modern striker fired handguns (Glock’s, M&P’s, XD’s, VP9's, P320's, etc.) are designed to be carried with a round chambered. This is considered normal nowdays, I’ve not met a firearms instructor in the last 5 years who advises carrying without a round in the chamber.

The puns never dampen the fun on these posts!

Unlike The Grand Tour then

It’s rarely that large of a gap between the base model and the top of the line model with the larger engine? You ever look at a 3 series or a C class? You’re looking at a minimum of $15k.

This isn’t honest journalism. This is how EVERY car company shows cars avaialbe at X price. Bad headline is bad.

So this guy is a “shitty rich person.” Why is that? Because he can afford a car you can’t? Because he wrecked his car? I’d suggest that the shitty person is the one who makes assumptions (and online comments) about others simply because they have money.

Probably just a wrap. There are plenty of people even around DC who drop money just for a wrap for a week of Rally fun.

Unfortunately we will probably have to wait a generation. Once the current group of kids (under 10) grows up and realizes that parents drive dorky crossovers then the market will shift. Of course by then self driving cars may take over and it could become a moot point.

Question: is that really so different from normal-person cars like the base model Camry/Accord/Corolla/Malibu/etc? I most certainly get that when it comes to a fun car, you want a *car*. But for the boring A->B commuter? People don’t care about feeling connected to the driving experience, they’re trying to escape

Aging population appreciates the higher sitting position getting in and out, and the supposedly increased visibility.

I’m sure Ferrari will be at pains to say it is not an SUV but some newly invented term for a high riding grand touring car with all wheel drive.

Something to think about: why doesn’t everyone drive a Geo Storm?

I bet they’re all safer than a motorcycle with five people on it, which is realistically what these cars are competing with. Making the cars safer will make them more expensive, which will make more people stick with the motorcycles, which will make them less safe.
