It’s not a “truck” - it’s a Hillbilly Lifestyle Accessory.

Nah. There is nothing being sold today that offers the comfort, capability, usefulness, and (yes) luxury as a premium full size truck.
That’s a rather “old school” view as far as trucks are concerned. They are no longer confined to being merely work vehicles, which is why extended cab/dual cab trucks with all that luxury and leather have become the norm. Why keep and pay for two vehicles when you can have one that can haul mulch and haul your family…
1st Gear: Peak Pickup?
I don’t think I’ve hated any characters on this show more than the Sand Snakes.
No they arent at all. Conor is blowing it for Conor. You can’t sign a contract agreeing to specific mandatory press events and then say no. If he did all of this shit a month ago, and had his facebook post, and tweet and all that nonsense there would be no issue.
Nobody that is actually spending money buys wagons. Jalops love to window shop and state they’ll buy this or that, but when the car is actually made, they’re nowhere to be found or, at best, are waiting for someone else to buy it so they can pick it up in 5 years for “less than a Toyota Camry.” Which doesn’t help…
I think one of the problem is that they show this nice concept of a mean and semi-aggressive wagon but in production, it is must softer. Thus the person who was going to buy it does not.
All these comments are hilarious, Justin clearly overshot his appeal with this article.
So I don’t get it...we bag on automakers for not making fantastically exuberant concept vehicles anymore, and now that we see one...we bag on it? It’s just a concept. It’s like couture fashion, for vehicles. It’s supposed to get people talking. It’s a space where manufacturers can take chances and maybe go over the…
Right? How many hundreds of words have been written here talking about how awesome and innovative and kick-ass the Tesla doors are, but then this shows up on a Lincoln and suddenly they’re ridiculous and stupid.
Holy fuck these videos are awful. Seriously awful. All of them. Are you trying to be ridiculously unprofessional because it’s like, an ironic hipster thing, or are you all seriously just this incompetent?
I think it’s actually a great-looking concept (kind of what the Bentayga should have been) but by God that Woodhouse bloke is a pretentious wanker. You should never actually use that kind of crap-speak in real life. Leave it for the press releases and articulate like a human being when you’re presenting in person.
I don’t get you guys. You shit on Lincoln accusing then of being a dead shit brand of rebadged Fords with a bad advertising campaign. Then when Lincoln actually makes a proper luxury concept SUV (which is what most people want instead of a car) to take on Land Rover for America, with a great color selection, awesome…
So the falcon doors on the Model X are God’s Gift to Man, but these are stupid? Riiiiigght.
So besides poinring out that a concept car has concept car type features, what’s the point of article? I really don’t get Jalopnik.com writers hatred of Lincoln, Ive never seen anything positive written about Lincoln.
Except what’s truly booming are not SUVs, but CUVs. Honda’s best seller, the CR-V, is built on a Civic platform. Yes, it’s a bit taller and heavier - putting it (in terms of interior space - and also in price) right up there with the Accord, a mid-sized car (and what you’d traditionally think of as a family vehicle).…
Love his attitude. Can we donate to the prosecution?
I understand what you are saying, but when you push the envelope in any technical pursuit, the returns are inherently incremental after the big leap forward. I think the Chiron is amazing, both technologically and aesthetically, and given the fact that VAG is competing with its own legacy model, I cannot criticize…
