Not when a bunch of the renters do neutral drops with the automatic transmission and all sorts of other stupid stuff. I don’t care if you followed the maintenance schedule, what is that these days, one oil change every 10,000 miles? That won’t fix the lack of mechanical sympathy these things go through.

Or their sedans either.

Toyota has too much name recognition on their main models, but they do let Daihatsu make a lot of their models, of course they bought them in 2016, so they are even more integrated now.

I’ve owned many BMWs, still do have an E46 & E90.

They continue to sell the Classic because it’s their mid-sized competitor based on price.

Not really just a US thing, I was in the Philippines recently and East Asia and they love pick-ups there, I think Thailand they dominate sales by a wide margin.

Not sure at what decade they haven’t been dominating?

Spend a little more and get a used Toyota with good service records, have it checked out and maintain it during your ownership.

Well, after the photo op, they will sell the most expensive ones and use the money to buy more appropriate patrol cars.

Oh gotcha. I wonder if that’s like the RAM 1200 sold in certain markets? My Dad has the Mitsubishi badged version, known as the Strada in the Philippines.

2019 was a complete revamp for RAM, known as the 5th gen DT generation, everything was changed. However, they did still sell the 4th gen side by side, known as the classic in order to compete with mid-sized trucks in terms of costs.

I think there was a Federal law that stated all Filipinos turning 18 at the time had to buy an Integra, lol.

Absolutely :)

Lol, I’m as surprised as you, DCT too!

Opps, sorry, typo, I meant 1997.  My 50 year old brain is catching up with me :)

I have been very lucky, buying the first year of new designs often, most recently my RAM Rebel, which when you consider Stellantis’s reputation quite impressive to have zero issues in my 4 years of ownership.

In the US, where I’ve lived most my life, a honk can mean war, usually results in exteme anger from that person being honked, I avoid it at all cost or try to be as gentle as possible to get the smallest peep to remind someone the light is green.

Agree, all good points man!

80%? When will that be?

You think that 20-40% gain year to year will be consistent? We will blow through the 2035 mandate well before then, or maybe it’s front loaded?
