Simple, people will keep it if it’s worth it to them. Also, “business mentality” goes both ways.

Are you new to F1? Because 2021 wasn’t normal, and I think too many people expect that to be a normal season.
Makes sense, the treatment of them was likely not very good, however you have to admit you still see a million Civics and Corollas from that generation and even Focuses. Though I suspect the owners were likely to take care of them more than the average Neon owner.
I’m not sure about them not being around just because of rust. I live in Socal, the land for old cars because none of them rust. You see 30 year old Ford Rangers here with zero rust.
F1 isn’t about the show, though they are trying to change that. It’s about the best technology, so yes, the team that creates the best car will tend to dominate for a while.
You can’t overcome inflation, I mean a loaded Corolla is hitting 30K. And with the fed and state credits, that Model 3 can actually hit mid 20K.
Did you read my original post???
No one is blaming Nyck for the tractor that is AT, he is being compared to Yuki in terms of performance, they have direct analytics of their control inputs for every inch of track they race together.
That was rough, when Marko mentioned that, how as a driver do you take that mentally.
Apparently not in most of Europe where 16 is the most common age of consent, or 14 if you live in Germany as an extreme example.
Unless you live in most of Europe, where the age of consent is 16 or even younger.
Because the AT is absolute garbage, but he had a strong run of 10th and 11th place finishes with generally mistake free driving. Well above what that car should be doing.
Sure, Checo will need to continue to suck for that to happen, which I doubt. But how many races now that he hasn’t made Q3?
Before everyone goes in on Red Bull being a meat grinder, lets understand that F1 isn’t a driver’s charity (quite the opposite, especially for lower teams who require money from drivers), also Red Bull has put in more Jr and out of work drivers than any other team.
California smog laws, you don’t need to smog a vehicle until it’s 8th year, unless it was sold within 4 years.
You mean the Dodge Hornet is the discount Alfa Tonale right? Considering Alfa did all the work on that vehicle only to have Dodge badge it, lets give the people who actually designed it some respect.
I don’t agree. I have family that have one, and it’s immensely usable.
What are the other reasons?
I agree with you with your application. I was thinking the LS is best for applications where it actually made sense, a classic compact sports car wouldn’t be my first choice either for that swap.
The LS is compact, makes a lot of power, gets good fuel economy, easy to take care of and last a long time.
