I KNOW. I’m in Seattle and can’t get a hold of it. I was in Vancouver this past weekend and kept hoping/praying I’d catch it on my hotel TV, but alas, no.
I MISS THEM SO MUCH.
I’ve used gels twice. I used one on race day and took it at about the 7 mile mark, but I didn’t notice a difference in performance either time I used them, even during training. I stopped at 4 or 5 water stations during the race, but during training I only ever re-hydrated once and was much faster than on race day. So…

Thank you! I have to admit, I was kind of disappointed with my time because during training I had been projected to finish at about 1:45, but I’m trying to cut myself some slack. I know it sounds ridiculous! :) I had a lot of (painful) fun, though, so I’m looking forward to the next one!

Oh, good luck! I wasn’t as fast as I was in training, but finished in 1:52, so I’m okay with that. I totally lost energy at about the 10.5 mark, so I need to figure that out. But it was fun! I did get a massage AND drink beer afterwards, haha. I hope yours goes well!

No, I had been really surprised by the number of dudes who wanted to go down on me and how focused they were on getting me off! Almost too focused, in fact, which can also lead to an inability to finish. And so apologetic when I wasn’t able to!
YES! All of my clothes right looks like various colors of Blow Pops and I love it! My race day outfit looks like this the Blue Razzberry flavor, it’s pretty killer.

Yes, it is primarily gluten and gliadin (a component of gluten) for me too, but grains in general. I also can’t do oats, barley, or rye. Cane sugar is the next biggie. My husband (also in 30s) has that friend too. I chew him the fuck out CONSTANTLY. This guy is just a big joke to the rest of the friend group, it’s annoying. Kick him to the curb, guys! Couldn’t you just say you would take them home to family, and then donate them yourself? Or were you guys not even allowed to have them?
