I do not have the money, nor the restraint, to own one of these beautiful beasts... and if I did, I would be too tempted to drive it as much as humanly possible. I am not the ideal owner for a car like this.

I believe that the two prior iterations of the Cobra R (the '93 and '95) required this, but the 2000 did not. But I could be wrong, not having been in a position to buy one at the time (I've never even seen one).

I was on the fence with "normal" for this... but I figured, well, I can be wrong on the internet...

Technically, it was very carefully made to be street legal, so I'm going to disagree with you.

Yep... it was such a weird experience the one time I saw one that I had to post about it.

It was logic that like this which kept me from submitting the Jensen FF, or even crazier, the mythical Jensen SP FF...

I could edit it, to be pedantic, but I suppose I should have specified the 2000 model year, which suddenly made the '95 and '93 models look plebeian (in terms of performance).

I've never actually seen one in person. Despite knowing what they were when they were released and having been on the lookout for... oh... 14 years.

Mustang Cobra R? 300 made if memory serves.

Without going down the rabbit hole of being frustrated by toothless government agencies, I absolutely want the NHTSA to pursue this so far that it is taken up by powers which do have teeth. This is too critical and too severe a safety issue to not expand the recall. Vehicles end up in all manner of environments, and

I think generally, people won't tell you when a baby isn't cute, but vouching only for myself, I would have commented on his health or perceived enthusiasm if I didn't think he was cute. LOL.

Oh. My. GOD. He's adorable (and, well, let me tell you, when I have nothing nice to say, I don't say anything - not all babies are cute).

How's things? I would be lying if I said that I haven't been curious and wishing I'd figured out a way to meet up before all this so that I could have had a way to passively see how things were. Hopefully all is well.

.

That's probably a reasonable line to draw. =)

Travis, your review matches with everyone else's I have read who I trust their opinions on these things. If I had the means, this would be the best worst decision I could make, automotively speaking.

This looks like sooooo much fun (and kind of scary, but in a really exhilarating way).

Counterpoint: Ads like this are necessary. I would love to see ads like this in the US during major sporting events. Too many people don't take this subject seriously enough.

Yes. I stopped watching the stream of crap and started focusing on the folks who I could find who knew what they were talking about... which led me to the Spacecom / Parabolic Arc feed.

The Parabolic Arc @spacecom twitter account has a first person recollection of their experience watching the event.
