I would be surprised if the Integra could outhandle the ST in the real world unless the ST was driven by an idiot, but then the ST is out of production, a run that started about 10 years ago on a platform that’s even older. I would think Honda could do something a little better in a more modern platform for the price…

I wouldn’t be cross-shooping this with an IS, but with a GTI. Although, have you SEEN the stickers on mkVIII GTIs? The base-model S is $34,35k. To get into the same realm of “luxury” as the Integra you’d be crossing $40k easily, albeit with a much more powerful engine and that amazing differential. 

Sounds like your in the exact same situation as me, looking to replace my FiST, but still have occasional kid duty to think about. This adds to my watch list along with the SI/Sport/GTI/GR Yaris (Corolla)/Nissan Z/BRZ/86/1LE watch list...those last few being 2 doors are pipe dreams...

Can confirm it will have a manual option, can not speculate what engine it will be paired with. I know this is a “Citation needed” but ask Honda why there is 2 models planned for the Integra.

The fact that the Civic Type R’s drivetrain even exists is a great case for the Intragra to have a manual. Parts sharing!!! Woo!
