Sadly: Yes. Yes I did. I am helplessly attached to the FF X universe and rarely go a year without thinking "Yes, I DO need more FF X content actually".

lol. At this point I'm not even annoyed that this is the first response to any post about Atlus or an Atlus game. It used to annoy me, but at this point it's just funny. I knew without any trace of doubt that the first comment under a story discussing Atlus' potential lack of a business future would be "good, good

You... do remember the first year of the 3DS lifecycle don't you? During that span it would have been equally accurate to accuse the company of being Nintendoconsole.

There have been more? I know we got the original, and I know we got the DS game as a Walmart exclusive. What else haven't we gotten?

I would like to add one link to Kirk's list of links. This is actually linked out of the Gamasutra article:

Yes, I do have suggestions! I have played several of the games on your list and rank them thusly:

I know that this is a giant "if" but: IF you get really into Donkey Kong Country 3D and actually access the new 9th world, report on how it holds up please! I absolutely adored this game on the Wii but haven't yet heard if the new levels made by the new development team are as good as the old Retro designed levels

Oooh, SMT is on your radar? I would have expected that to be only in Jason's wheelhouse. Have you been following the franchise for a while, or is this just a game that caught your eye?

Oh, so did Animal Crossing actually hook you? You've actually written a fair bit about this new game, with not only your interview/visit with the developers (which was pretty great. And great to see a female director!) but also I remember that little post where you just asked us what the point is and how to make the

Really, you're not enjoying FF 4 Heroes of Light? Is that gonna land in a random encounters column? If not, I'd love to discuss it here. I thought that was a delightful little game. Probably the best 3D graphics on the DS, a good battle system that was similar to classic FF but added it's own strategy, rockin'

I'm not a comic guy. At all, really. But I'm a Sandman guy. Got the entire run in compilations from the library, and it's one of the best things I've read. It's shockingly good.

Yeah, that's fair. First iteration of a sports game on a new physics engine is usually rough. But it does pay off eventually.

I have played the entirety of Paper Mario 2 twice, and both times got stuck on the final boss and gave up :(

I also think the levels of Golden Sun are done really well. I think that the better levels in M&L are as good as Golden Sun. It's not quite as consistent and the Bros moves aren't quite so clever as Golden Sun psynergy, but there are a couple times per game that M&L gets up there.

Honestly they're probably just sitting on it to space the release schedule. 3DS is and has been white hot all year. Project X Zone was out this week, SMT IV is out in July, and Etrian Odyssey is out at some point this summer still too. So Nintendo had the rare liberty to take their own JRPG and release it at the

Nah, you're mostly okay. So far there are only three absolute must-plays under the Mario RPG banner. The ones you need to track down are Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga, Mario and Luigi Bowser's Inside Story, and Paper Mario 2 The Thousand Year Door.

I started with Paper Mario, moved on to Mario and Luigi, then just last year went back and tried out Super Mario RPG on virtual console. So I've got the opposite perspective. And my judgement is:

Well, the 360 kinda caters most of it's exclusives to a narrow set of consumers. It's not so surprising that certain enthusiasts find themselves out of the target market :)

The recommendations you asked for:

Gaius! I was all ready to hate him when Nintendo was doing their marketing "meet 3 new Fire Emblem characters each week" lead up and they introduced him as a thief who's quirky character trait is that he really likes candy. Yes, I recognize that in an ensemble game like Fire Emblem they need to go with quirky
