Anime isn't for everyone. I don't read comic books, I don't watch anime. I don't really watch cartoons at all. I do books and movies and video games. And I'm comfortable with that.

Surely you wouldn't propose that a man who finds one flavor of art not to his liking should forgo art all together? I certainly do intend to steer clear of Vanillaware products though.
I sincerely apologize if you interpreted my statement that I stay away from anime because of the adolescence of it as an attack against your happiness.
That's because those of us who find this kind of thing distasteful have learned to stay the eff away from anime. That's been my experience at least.
I recognize a distressing percentage of these.
At this point I feel like they may just be sitting on the release until they can synergize it with the impending Ace Attorney 5
Have you been playing the game on 3DS or iOS?
I think this rude, dismissive comment was intended for another.
I recommend The Screwtape Letters. Fundamentally changed my perception of Christianity.
There have been a few other FF 7 products too if you're interested. Crisis Core was a prequel for the PSP, and Advent Children is a CG movie available for... movie platforms. There was also a mobile phone game that released in Japan that wasn't localized at the time, but there's been some noise about maybe a 3DS…
You... haven't read a lot of C.S. Lewis have you?
Final Fantasy Versus XIII - from announcement to release seven years and counting. What happened during that span? My entire middle and high school education.
This is good! Jason started with snark, Vanillaware responded with snark. Now Jason followed up with a more balanced, nuanced look at the issue. If Vanillaware will consent to the interview that was requested, then hopefully we will soon see their perspective in a more balanced, nuanced way as well.
I think that's my point though - whether you find this particular way of drawing faces agreeable or not, it's immediately recognizable and distinctive. These games don't look like any other games. There's something for you to hate because it's something different.
Oh wow, this is so exciting! PLEASE be good. It has potential to be good. Having a writer from the actual games working on the movie might be totally good. It means that the movie will capture the tone of the games and will be faithful in the important ways (I'm no super purist, but it's important to me that the…
I really hate to be that guy, but I think it's worth noting that though Mr. Soejima's work is very good, Atlus employs several other artists of repute who's work has been (arguably) more distinctive than what's showcased here. Of course, the games most widely played have been the ones drawn by Mr. Soejima, so maybe…
I'll agree with you regarding the first two installments, but I think there are some real issues with the third.
Itoi is on record saying that there will be no Mother 4, that Mother 4 is your life.
I think it would be fair to say that different people like Link to the Past for different reasons, and derivation from the original game in any way is going to ruffle somebodies feathers. So you didn't see the things you liked from LttP in this trailer. Some color palette changes, "bastardized" dungeons (though I'm…
