I agree. However, even if it were anonymous, they’d likely need to disclose potential author bias due to gender/their own experiences with discrimination in their study’s limitations section. This potential for bias sure as hell wouldn’t automatically invalidate their results though.

The peer reviewer should be the male co-author on the paper since he proved their thesis. :-/
