To be fair, the night originally ended well (crying earlier was met with lots of support from my other lesbian/bisexual friends) with lots of awesome conversations about intersectionality....but ended poorly due to my continuing the conversation with non-real life friends, which was clearly a mistake, in retrospect,

"We are a peaceful organization, but at this time this makes me very warlike. So help me God I will jump from head to head using your skulls as stepping stones into the river that is the street. And I’m going take tea and take a sip of it and spit it into each and every one of your mouths. Oh it’ll burn me, but it’ll

[My comment!!! Everything else beyond that first sentence was deleted why!?!?!] LOVE Bookwoman! Long story short, there was a LOT of othering/mascotting of transgender people in my group, and then arguing about that and intersectionality ("it dilutes the cause!") and then that turned into LG ("why are we discussing

This is where my own view of my own sexuality negates any argument which would see me choose one group over the other. Intersectional feminist theory denies such is even possible.

Uh, I didn't realize roses were rated NC-17?! Did you tell your grandmother? I like to think she went over and gave them hell.

Perfect moment to use that gif.

Seriously, Rue21 - can you really afford to turn people away from your shitty clothing store? Ugh.

I can't believe her real name is Nyad....yes, the spelling is different, but that is some mythologically on-point naming right there. You go, water nymph! Live up to that moniker!

Highlights:

This was the owner's response when people asked "why?", "she's so well trained!" and "she looks very uncomfortable."

Statistical significance is not the same as magnitude of your findings (or differences), which in turn is not necessarily equivalent to any sort of practical "meaning-something"-ness. All statistical significance says is, given a certain alpha level (usually .05), our data suggests that our findings are not happening

But I love Farrah's response:

We're very sad that it happened to him.

"White supremacy has taught him that all people of color are threats irrespective of their behavior."

In his pram at R'lyeh, baby Cthulhu waits dreaming...

Does it really!? Yay! Thanks!

Well, if we can't punish him with jail time, we can at least punish him with crippling student debt?
