How lovely that her perspective insults both female as "wannabe rape victims" and men as "gotta be rapists." Though really, both sides need to quit it with these natural tendencies - it's just so expensive for the taxpayers! Think about other people for a change, you selfish service-people! I mean really, at this

I was thinking that as well! But of course, I have to give Tavi credit in terms of wowing on multiple levels (aesthetic perspective, writing, feminist-ing) while ScarJo....well let's just say it's a one-level wow, though that level is objectively incredible. :)

There's actually a clause that makes marriage between werewolves and vampires MANDATORY. So....nice.

Oh, exciting! I just finished this book last month but I might need to quickly reread... :)

This is going to give followers of "Sacred Geometry" the boner of a lifetime.

Oh my god IS THAT WHAT THAT WAS!? I could not find it for the life of me! Terrified my dog...

I know, it's an insidious generalization about men that does nothing to actually STOP child abuse. All it does is dissuade lots of potentially great guys from getting into elementary school teaching, and a lot of very difficult discourse surrounding the men that do.

This is a travesty, through and through. Must we so coddle children now that some scary pictures (to accompany, specifically, scary stories) must be changed?

That which is downloaded can eternal lie.

Whereas I know multiple men who are brilliant, love working with children, and have chosen to go into middle or high school teaching because they don't want to deal with the "shit people say about you when your a man hanging out with kids all day." Sad. They're really great teachers too.

I have a theory on this: and basically it revolves around the social idea that male elementary teachers must be pervy. So let's say you're a man and want to teach - and you know people might misinterpret you teaching younger children. It would take a guy who was confident and strong enough that he could live with that

Am I the only one who LOVES that "radiation-toasted crust" on the frozen-dinner lasagnas??? It's so crispy....

.

Alan Cummings....what you just did there was create a sentence I cannot abide by. :)

Oh, I haven't noticed yet, thanks for explaining.

Can you explain this further? I'm confused by your comment...but intrigued.

I feel the same way! When they say "What do you think?" I want to tell them "I work 20 hrs a week here and I am paying to do so. Given this information, I am clearly not more qualified than you or anyone else to be making that life decision...soooo what do YOU think you should do?"

You make a good point clearly, it is the lack of quality control that is most problematic in this situation. Some people understand and still choose life coaches over other professional "helpers", but I do worry how many are informed consumers and how many are being, as you put it, "targets" who are vulnerable and

All excellent points in terms of understanding social and psychological research, but I don't think this post is terrible at all. I think you could have expressed your points far better by not resorting to attacking the author. Although I disagree with some of the critiques of the article, I think they are valid

After seeing many of my peers recently becoming "life coaches" and seeing how much they expect to be paid, I was shocked. Then I checked that reaction. I am a 25 year old getting my PhD in Counseling Psychology and currently seeing clients as a therapist in training (supervised, clearly). However, in terms of life
