I have no problem with the taking of risks. What I have a problem with is dumbasses taking unnecessary risks. You will notice that the X-gamers wear helmets and some body armour. Skydivers carry a reserve ‘chute, sometimes two. Sensible precautions taken for risky activities by responsible people.

I don’t live in the US either. The problem is not just insurance coverage and legal liability. (Though that is a huge problem in the US.)
