Hell, yeah. The hard lines of the third gen should translate well in a modern design.  And they should lean heavily into the rock and roll vibe in marketing it.

The first step is admitting you have a problem...

What wheels are those? I’ve definitely never seen them on anything before.

Hopefully so.  It looks much better with that black bar painted and the bowtie relocated to the upper grille.  It still doesn’t look great, but it’s an improvement.

I still don’t understand why after all these years the absolutely insist on doing this. Maybe they get a kick-back from these aftermarket jobs that make stick over badges in different colors.

So...exactly like we thought it was going to look?

I don’t think the targets themselves are the problem so much as Americans’ tastes in automobiles. Trucks and SUVs rule in sales. If small cars were hot sellers, those fuel economy standards would be a lot easier to reach. It’s a lot like nutrition groups telling fast food restaurants that they need to create healthier

One of the only benefits of living in Alabama.

Meanwhile...

Too soon...

Too soon...

Honestly, the only clutch feel I really experience is when something is wrong: clutch is slipping, air in the hydraulic system, failed slave cylinder...

I accept this position and propose a toast of Crystal Pepsi.

It’s the body-colored bracket where the grill and lights mount up.

I’ll join, but only if all cars are required to have t-tops.

Underrated comment is underrated.

I wish ANY car in the hot hatch category existed as a RWD vehicle.  Something like a Mazdaspeed 3 or a Focus ST would be hilarious.  Why can't we have small, economy sized hatchbacks in RWD?

(the cradles that everything bolts up to)

Absolutely. I had a friend with 1995 V6 Mustang in high school.  The interior in that car was much better than in any if my 4th gens.  And that cat hump sucks.  Blows my mind that it was present for 20 years on the f-body.

That may be the case. Consider too that most people take a test drive that is very limited to one that’s more comparable to what one would take on a daily drive. They don’t experience the track. If the Mustang shines brighter in this sample, it’s no wonder people make that choice.

Mine is a ‘98 Z28 with a 6 speed and t-tops. It’s like driving around in a fishbowl. You damn near have a panoramic view of the world outside. I’ve had 5 4th gen cars (just can’t seem to stay away) and 3 3rd gens. I definitely love them.
