...not that you really have to work on it much in the first 500,000 miles. It is amazing how well Toyota built those little cars.

EV car cheaper up front?
Neutral:I have a feeling that any company that goes all in on EVs on a large scale (that doesn’t get huge stacks of cash from the government) will have a tough time surviving the transition.
Yep. They don’t mess around with seat belts. I worked for a metal stamping supplier that bought a couple of cars over a bad weld-nut for the seat belt.
Same can be said for paying fast food workers $15 an hour. I f’s with companies that had employees that were making $8-10 more than minimum wage...that were previously happy.
Brake Check!
Business hated Obama’s flip-flopping healthcare policies. They were scared that the next announcement would 1)cost even more and 2)would really screw something else up.
VW has got to be almost in panic mode trying to make EVs a reality. Not just building an electric car, but how to shift the buying public into buying electric cars.
There are several luxury cars out there that are “totaled” if the air bags deploy.
It is not the interior that I am having problems with, it is the rubber stuff that is going to shit on my 2011 Yaris.
meant to type 2025
But they are excessive. When the general car buying public sees what a 2015 compliant car actually is...they will be pissed. Many will continue to drive their current car for a long damn time.
That top one is bad ass!
I predict all electric car companies are going to have a tough time being successful. There isn’t an endless stream of cash available to keep them all afloat without them actually being profitable/self-sustaining year after year.
It is the boy scout mentality. I also carry a tool box in my trunk even though I have driven Toyotas for the last 30 years and have never broken down since switching.
Not everyone buys the top of the line, highest price model for a commuter car.
Young workers don’t really use it much other than having babies. The old farts are the ones that drive costs up....and really aren’t that productive.
I don’t start a road trip on 1/8 tank of gas.
Fuck that. I was a boy scout. “Always be prepared”
High deductible insurance plans flat out suck!
