@thewitchandthemoll: Seriously. I live half a mile from a Lush store and would happily pay the shipping fees to order stuff online, just to avoid the sales staff there. Sadly, they don't carry my beloved fresh face masks on their website so I must continue to visit the store.

@RedLantern: There's a world of difference between a mass-market perfume and those that are made in smaller batches by masters of the art. "Celebrity" perfumes are particularly notorious for using cheap, irritating chemicals in their mix.

@mikkamakka: A quick search shows that it's still a readily available scent - check Amazon or Target's website for the woman's version.

@MJ: It's also the difference between people who bill hours, and people who cost money to the firm to have around. My firm actively discourages staff members from racking up overtime. In fact, we were actually encouraged last year to take a day a week/every two weeks off, to save them money. Of course, the time

@RousseMacabre: I'm about 90% sure that the color is China Glaze's Flip Flop Fantasy.

@Ipomoea: I wonder how differently their results would have been if they had surveyed a Safeway and a Whole Foods. As you noted, Albertsons and Whole Foods in Seattle are mutually exclusive in neighborhoods - less so Safeway and Whole Foods, even though Safeway tends to be on the same price point/quality level as

@samplesize: Surprisingly, you probably will have other things on your mind than what people are wearing. Like, say, your wedding.

@Ferrette: They're amazingly dedicated athletes, too. My local team is the Seattle Majestics. Players have to buy their own gear, and many of them live hours away from the practice/game fields. Doesn't stop them from showing up, though.

@thewitchandthemoll: Pride and Prejudice and Zombies hasn't started filming yet, has it? I would LOVE her in that.

@Hi-Im-Asylum: Hardly. Clothing can serve as a means of self-expression, a marker of social and financial standing, a means of communicating community (sports, school, music) allegiance... among other things. We as a species have judged each other on appearance far longer than "intelligent" profiling.

My first thought was that they were Barbies made up to look like the cast of Satisfaction. The one on top is clearly Tippi, the brunette with the bob is Mel. Not so sure about the other one. Suggestions?

Oh, a note to all the night-painters - even if the polish is dry to the touch when you go to bed, you might wake up with sheet marks. If this happens, no need to redo the entire nail. Another layer of top coat usually evens out the bumps.

Paint your thumbs LAST. Doing so will help prevent smudges and/or, help you paint better as you're not gingerly holding the wand to prevent smudges. As a bonus, by the time you get back around to your thumbs, fingers should have dried a bit which will also make it easier.

Now playing

C'mon, how does this not go through your head each and every time you're baking something? "Crack crack crack the egg into the bowl. M-I-X the flour into the bowl..."

@fattylumpkin: I highly recommend the brand Sofft. Classic shapes and styles, comfortable insoles, but they generally do a good job of staying out of grandma-shoe territory.

@emfish55: I find it interesting more than anything else. We're a firm that has an active GLBT committee, a perfect score from the Corporate Equity Index, and then there's this.

@emfish55: Our managing partner happily dresses in drag each year for the Christmas skit. Last time, it involved dancing to "Single Ladies" with several associates as backup (three male, one female).

@ChelsieBell: Banana Republic is on a similar price point as The Limited. Their stuff might swing a bit more "classic" than contemporary, but it can be worked into about any wardrobe. I'd also look at Ann Taylor Loft for shirts, sweaters and dresses.
