Let's all enjoy the juxtaposition of the discussion of thigh gap, with the actual thigh gap, and the cover line "SWIM RIGHT IN."

Yeah, that's ridic for sure.

Yes and no. A portfolio is an absolute must have in my opinion (as a CD who works at an agency and is always looking for new talent). But when I'm looking at a portfolio I have no idea what kind of brief the person was working from, what the collaboration was, how the process went, was it ever so fucking painful that

Spec work bites.

Yeah... it's really hard to evaluate capabilities/fit for lots of jobs in creative fields. In general though, resumes and cover letters would be a hell of a lot better and more successful if applicants treated them like "a piece of persuasive advertising with you as the product."

We can't. With all of this Americaning we're doing with our drinks and such, our non-eatin' pants don't fit any more.

CAESARS ARE DELICIOUS YOU WILL APOLOGIZE ALL HAIL THE BLOODY CAESAR

You're most welcome!

Oh yes, always Ravelry. :)

If you want something useful and easy that will finish up quick, what about a dishcloth? Or if you're looking for a wearable, try a cowl. No more challenging than a scarf, but it may give you a greater sense of accomplishment. lionbrand.com is a great source for free patterns.

I HAVE FOUND MY PEOPLE ON JEZEBEL.

YES! I think we may have had a similar educational experience. You're not in Ontario by any chance, are you?

Yay for the grandparents on getting her the hell out of there! I wonder why it seemed like a good idea in the first place?

Yup, Catholic school kid here too. We took field trips to a mosque, had guest lessons from a rabbi, etc, etc. It was all very respectful and fascinating. As an adult (though I'm fairly areligious myself), I know a lot more about other cultures and religions than many of my public school or "Christian school" peers.

Ooo, going to look now. Thanks for the tip!

That's so unfair. I'm tall and plus size and do you know how damn hard it is to find pants that are long enough?? MUCH harder than to find 30 or 32 inch inseams, thank you very much. Plus-size girls do come in tall sizes. (I know you want to see yourself reflected. I get that. But so do I.)

Oh, that's lovely.

I'm right there with you. That's why I love the jacket options. I'm also good with adding a lacey shrug to a lot of sleeveless dresses. Just hate cap sleeves with a firey passion.

Yuppers. I'm 5' 9" and with my frame I'm size 10 when I'm bone thin (like, ribs showing thin). It's been awhile since I've been bone thin, mind you, so I'm eyeing this collection with great interest! :)

Next week, they'll flip it over and we'll see the ladies. Three weeks after that is when it gets interesting.
