It’s a great question actually. As kids are able to have deeper conversations, you can actually talk about it with them. What is appropriate touching, boundaries, you might have different boundaries with different people, you are in charge of your body and you get to make all the judgments.
Same in Ontario. Those seats are often open even when most of the others are taken.

I just fully believe she is this warm genuine person. I remember her talking about what she did with her first big pay cheque - go out and bought fluffy, luxurious bath towels. It was such a symbol for her of success. I just... I love that.

My 13 yo daughter just read 1984 and she’s a bit of a political junkie. We’ve been having great conversations. (As Canadians, this US political shitshow isn’t quite as personal to us so we have the luxury of being a bit more observational and a bit less freaked the fuck out.)
There’s robust research about how stressful situations can effectively lower IQ by 10 points. Given that the documentary shows him in intensely stressful situations, it’s not surprising that he would be functioning at a lowered capacity than his tested IQ. Poor kid

Yeah, that’s how I feel. I like the variation. I like to hear people’s natural accents—assuming they aren’t so different from mine or unfamiliar that I struggle to understand them.
