I hear monetary incentives and nintendo and immediately think of their scummy youtube practices. I’d doubt they’d treat indie devs much better.

Nintendo saying this about indies just rubs me the wrong way. It’s hard for me to believe they care about indie games because they believe in the idea of them. It’s much easier for me to think that they know they need more software and it ain’t coming from major studios.

It’s an incentive for more people to play around in there and play people’s custom modes. So they look at it and feel that, comparably, it’s a waste of their time since it doesn’t contribute to XP progression.
