I do not understand what the issues are with the M73 engine and everyone here ignoring all the VANOS/Timing Chain guides problems with the 740 V8. The V12 is simply bullet proof and nothing more than two 6s cobbled together. WAY easier to work on it than on the V8s.

Well as an owner of a 750iL that drove 740s for a LOOONG time, sorry, no comparison. PLUS we have no VANOS crap to deal with, failing timing chain guides, etc, the reason why almost every single 740 is sold when the rattling noises start. Not saying it is hard to fix BUT for the average Joe, this will require a trip

Exactly. And where I live, winter tires. My V12 Bimmer is stoppable in snow with the proper tires. A torquy V12 can indeed offset the lack of AWD as I learned. LOL.

Gallardo Coupe. Beauty.

Funny you say that. I was in a car gathering back in June here in Ottawa. They have it every year, called the Italian Festival. Part of that is what they call the 'Ferrari Festival' where in the past only Ferraris would be part of it. Now it is all Italian high end cars like Maseratis and Lamborghinis.

I drive the Lamborghini all the time in the rain and love it. Actually I drive all my cars in the rain. Nothing happened so far. Still fires up and shifts. With Ferraris it is actually way better to drive in the rain as you will have God's help when it catches on fire (as a lot of them do).

Mine is probably within the first 400 produced. It was the actual car Lamborghini brought to the Geneva Auto Show in 2003 or 2004 (same for the Detroit Auto Show). I still have pictures of the car on the show floor!

Why not? I own one with many other similar cars. Faster than most cars of the time. AWD. Can be easily converted to RWD. Plenty of upgrades available. And in the hands of someone that knows how to drive an extremely capable track car. Not sure why you think it sucks.

Sorry no. The Gallardo aged WAY better than the 360, looking 'modern' by current standards. Plus there are way less Lamborghinis out there than Ferraris. To top it off, it is extremely reliable (mine is now at over 35,000 miles), shares many parts with Audi (so way cheaper to maintain than the Ferrari) and has a lot

Sure, expensive if you have no clue how to fix anything. Mine has over 130,000 miles on it. Runs like new and has been as expensive as my wife's X3 to maintain (I spent $1600 in 32,000 miles to maintain it).

I agree 100%. Shit happens. Yes. But when YOU cause MEGA SHIT to happen, you deserve AND has to expect MEGA PUNISHMENT from it. Simple as that. No matter what others say there is no excuse for drinking and driving. NONE. I am the father of a 19-year old and I tell him no matter what do NOT drive if you drink anything.

Great to see others doing the same! My son is turning 3 this Sunday and has been to almost all dealers in town. For almost a year now, he knows every single brand of car out there, just looking at their badges. Even more obscure brands for 2-year olds like Saturn, he knows them. Crazy accurate.

I understand that and I agree to an extent. BUT I can bet you that there are thousands of people out there that would LOVE to pay a little to get that personal assistance, that touch you do NOT get when reading an online PDF guide. In this day and age of online stuff, FaceTime, Skype, a quick real chat can make a huge

Seriously, you should start teaching this either by making HD videos, PDF guides or even in person when you are tackling something like this. I bet many people would pay you just to stick around and watch/ask questions when you are doing it. A couple guys paying you $100 for a weekend and you will not only tackle what

Not true at all. And I say this as someone that leased/bought 15 vehicles in the past 15 years. The KEY variables to the question lease vs buying are very simple and only these two really matter at the end of the day:

Every single flagship sedan from Germany has electrical issues. No way around that. I have a V12 BMW 7-Series. It has its own set of electrical gremlins but once you learn how to deal with them, they are not show stoppers at all. My neighbour has the S-Class V12 Biturbo AMG. Yes, has electrical issues too. Finally my

1. I do most of the work on the car. So labour is $0.
2. A Fit is not a 750. I would pay even more on maintenance to drive a 750 vs a Fit.
3. For some people it is worth indeed spending way more to drive a way more comfortable and nicer vehicle. If everyone wanted Honda Fits, there would be no other cars and brands on

You would be VERY surprised at how many Lamborghini owners can turn a wrench. Do not generalize please.

My exact thoughts, posted earlier. That is the exact same reason I ended up buying a Lamborghini Gallardo with a 6-speed manual transmission. First when it came out, it was something out of a science fiction movie. Just look at it today and compare it to the equivalent Ferrari in 2004. The Gallardo was ground

The AMG may be the exception. I know at least for the Lamborghini and the BMW I have the same parts are nowhere close to that. Even at these prices the question then becomes how often these have to be replaced. One thing is having to replace shocks every year. Another is every 5 years. That dilutes the total money
